Junior college coaches are sometimes hired as assistants at the D-I or D-II level, and can work their way up the ladder and become head coach at the D-I level, but..........
I challenge anyone to give me an example of a junior college head coach, especially one from the lower division of junior colleges (ICC id a Division-II junior college) jumping right to a D-I (4 year) head coaching job.
I cannot recall a single such example.

And here are some other coaching suggestions I have read...

but names that pop up are:
Wayne McClain or possibly even Doug Collins' son Chris Collins to ISU
Tracy Webster to SIU if Lowery goes
Ex-Illinois Mr. Basketball, Brian Sloan (son of Jerry) to Evansville
And a big push to lure Todd Lickliter to the Valley for each of the schools looking for a head coach!
