just wanted to get others thoughts on this...and its not really fair since siu and creighton havent started their tournament play yet...but besides arguably siu, has anyone else done more to help the name/image of the valley over the last 2 seasons?...sweet 16 last year taking down the "mighty" kansas and pitt, a lottery pick in the nba draft, big win on the road over vcu on national television when everyone else but siu choked, winning a very exciting POST-SEASON game over a bcs conference team....what does everyone else think?

SIU has done the most for the Valley, then maybe Bradley, Wichita St, and Creighton in that order. SIU has usually had a strong program, and Wichita St. has TONS of local fans. Creigton, I don't know. BU obviously we have alot of tradition, but last year we really represented the Valley.

I'll tell you right now, in the closing seconds of OT, it wasn't "BU" that the student section was screaming. It was "MVC"... we've only got a leeetle chip on the shoulder. Too bad MoSU pulled their choke job tonight...

To bad D. Elgin, the MVC commish wasn't at tonights game. I'm sure he would of enjoyed the MVC chant. Maybe someone can point him to the broadcast archive, i'm sure it was caught on radio.

I would rank them SIU, Creighton and then BU and WSU. SIU is a no-brainer. Creighton is the model of long-term stability in the MVC (I believe it's up to nine seasons of at least 20 wins now). BU and WSU have done a lot the last two seasons, but are still relatively new when it comes to getting complete respect around the country.
