10 questions going into next season

I encourage people to post or revise this list. They will be answered gradually at different times. I feel like I'm leaving some things out ... but here's a start anyway.

10. Is DeAaron Williams a headcase? I want to think he isn't, but he doesn't have the best history working for him. I have confidence in our coaching staff reeling him in, though.
9. IF we have another scholarship, which juco big man will fill it?
8. (Almost #8a) Will Jim Les continue to strike gold with his recruits? He's done a great job finding some diamonds in the rough.
7. To be determined - Can't say this one until we get more info!
6. Ray Brown - Can he live up to all the hype he had coming into BU?
5. Is Jeremy Fears going to be good or GREAT?
4. Can the team cohesively gel quickly with so many new parts?
3. Will we rebound better? How big of an impact will the new bigger guys have?
2. As is with every team, who will step in and fill the minutes and points lost by graduation/players leaving?
1. Will Daniel Ruffin use his final year of eligibility? We all hope he does but we don't know for sure! This team would surely struggle if he didn't.

10-- aren't all college kids? But I think Jim Les and staff can get DW into the scheme and be a fine part of the team.
DeAaron has run out of Plan B's.

9- Charlie Coley, Wade Knapp, or Rashard Austin, in that order.

8- Quite definitely. But no longer will JL be searching only for diamonds in the rough, has and will be able to recruit head to head with other top schools and even get some of the diamonds that are out in the open.

7- Yes they will be back

6- Of course he can, he is stronger, working with weights, and very, very anxious -- even chomping at the bits to do whatever it takes to help the team. He has matured tremendously.

5- He will be Tony Bennett/Will Franklin/Darren Brooks all in one total package.

4- they've done it before. Remember how many pundits quesitoned where would Bradley be able to find all the scoring this year, and that they had too many new and untested parts in 2006-2007.

3- A little better, but the Valley is a guard oriented league and will stay that way. we will have one of the best returning big men in Matt Salley and the addition of three more 6-8 and larger bodies.

2- Crouch can play more if he remains uninjured, and the rest of the guys will be battling for minutes as well. I don't think the biggest concern will be finding people to play the minutes, but it will be finding a way to play all the top talent without someone feeling slighted.

1- If he doesn't, I will be surprised.
All college kids explore their options and DR is no different.
But in the end, he will do what works best for him and his team.
With the real chance that he might get some legitimate All American considerations next year, I think he'll stay.

Re: 10 questions going into next season

10. I trust the coaches to have recruited someone they are confident belongs at Bradley.
9. I want Coley, but think it'll be Austin (who I'm excited about)... also like the idea of Demetrius Young.
8. I think Les is proving to be a very good recruiter, and don't expect his efforts to tail off...
7. To be determined - when the question is asked hehe
6. He looks like he's put on a bunch of muscle and will have been practicing with the team. I look to him to be a big contributor next year.
5. GREAT
4. As long as Ruff stays for two reasons... first, he runs the team on the court (I think), two because actually we think of Fears and Brown as sort of new recruits, but they've been practicing all year and should be able to step in and "gel" right away, as I think they'll be 2 of our top 8 players (wth Ruff, Salley, Warren, and Crouch being 4 more) leaving only 2 significant minute-getters with a need to gel.
3. I think we'll generally manage to do quite a bit better because we'll manage to have two post players 6'5 or better on the floor... PLUS our guards are getting bigger too.
2. Same concern as Tornado... I'm more worried about players getting time they deserve than open minutes.
1. I really hope he does. I think with some exposure Daniel could be an outside pro (I mean NBA here) prospect, but he'd need a big senior year on a good team to make it happen.

10. Yes. Talking with those who have coached and played with him I think the answer is Yes. Also, Im worried about grades.

9. I think everyone wants Coley but Im excited about all of the prospects.

8. Good recruits bring post season play, post season play brings in recruits....

7. Im guessing he's asking about current players possibly leaving... Jassey could be gone, hope Ruff stays.

6. The players seem to think so.

5. TBD. I think Fears has the make-up of a great player, but we have several players that can play that position.

4. I think gelling might be difficult early on but the team should be set by the time conference kicks off.

3. That depends on the new bigs and Salley's development. But we also have some bigger guards that should help.

2. Assuming DR returns, and Salley and Crouch get their minutes, that leaves 2 spots for the new big, Warren, Cole-Scott, Fears, Brown and Williams. Thats 10 deep, not a lot of minutes to be filled.

1. I hope so. I think he might regret leaving early later on.

Someone please clue me on to the question for number 7.

CARNAC: Green Acres.
ED McMAHON: Green Acres?

(Carnac rips the envelope open and removes the card)

CARNAC: What Kermit has after Miss Piggy kicks him in the groin.

I enjoy being cryptic, it fosters some fun discussion!

My "mystery" question relates to some speculation on the last e-mail that T sent out. I can't really go any further than that, so hopefully you're getting his e-mails! :D

It's a little early for predictions but..........

These guys have Bradley picked as an NCAA team next season!

Interesting, they don't have Mississippi ST. making the field.

Mr. M-I, crooked letter, crooked letter, I, crooked letter...........
sorry, wrong message board.

If you read the responses below, the author does say that with Davis leaving LSU, MSU would likely fill their roll. The author makes a good point that MSU is a very good home team, but didn't show that well on the road last year. I think MSU has an NCAA caliber team, but some teams are Jekyll & Hyde in their difference at home as opposed to on the road or at neutral sites. I've only seen them play at home so far. Will be interesting to see how they perform in MSG.
