I am curious... How does everyone like the "scoring system" used?

I can't figure out how I'm in the lead, therefore I can't figure out the scoring...

Bein' edumicated and all at good ol' BU, I can deduce that each round is increasingly weighted. It's better than the other (Facebook) pools I'm in ... mostly 'cause I'm winning ...

Then again, I picked a midmajor from the Valley to win it all, so I'm probably screwed up in the end.

Each round is weighted twice more than the one before it. Each round is multiplied by the seed value.

I have always liked this kinda scoring system because it rewads someone that has the knowledge and mostly courage to pick a worse seeded team.

Everyone can pick the favorites with an every now and then upset (like a 9 over an 8, a 5 over a 4, a 3 over a 2) and be in it almost every year.

So, those taking VCU in R1 get 11 X 2 = 22 (vs Duke 6 X 2 = 12).

Bottom line, you still gotta get enough of those picks right to carry you into contention as well as picking enough of the correct favorites to carry you down the stretch.

I do like it, but being the fool I am didn't read about it till after I made my picks and the tourney was under way. Maybe would have picked a little different knowing the picks were weighted according to round and seed, but like I said that's my own fault.

I do like the system though, as it's a little different than some of the others.
