Marcellus is playing in the French Pro B League for Angers BC 49.
Cellus is having a very good season, but his team has not had a good year.
Angers is 8-19 and struggling in last place in the French B-League--

Cellus has been with Angers for the last 14 games since he left the Hungarian team he had played the first half of the season with. He has been Angers' best player since joining the team, and is among the league leaders in scoring.
Angers team stats--

In 14 games, Cellus is averaging a team-leading 18.1 ppg and 5.9 rpg. He is shooting 51% on 2-point shots and a team-leading 43% on 3-point shots. He is also shooting 80% on free throws.
Marcellus' 18.1 ppg scoring average is 3rd in the league--

He is 4th in 3-point percentage (the link has sortable stats).

I hope a better team picks him up. How far away is his league from say like the NBA-equivalent in Europe? Or is he already in the top professional league?

I don't know a lot about the French pro leagues, but usually if the country has an A league (usually larger cities) and a B league (smaller cities), the A league is slightly higher overall level of play. And the countries differ widely. The French B league could be higher than the Hungarian A league. Most new players coming in usually would start with a B league team and move up if they impress people. I wouldn't be surprised if Cellus' contract is bought by a higher level team by next year if he returns. Or he could move to another country with a higher level of play like Italy or Russia.
