Turgeon out?

This would be big.
But I believe that if it was offered, he would take it. This season was such a bad season for him, he might want to get out of Wichita while he has a chance. If he has another bad year, he won't be on anyones list in the future.
 
I agree DaCoach... With the way things are going this offseason for WSU, it may be a very good time for Turgeon to move along.
 
The Dallas Morning News is reporting that an A&M source says Turgeon is their top choice. You gotta believe he is going to take the job.
 
As posted in the parallel thread, the Houston Chronicle is reporting that--

Texas A&M has reached an agreement for Wichita State coach Mark Turgeon to take over as the Aggies' new men's basketball coach, according to three people with knowledge of the deal.

Texas A&M athletic director Bill Byrne offered Turgeon the job Saturday night, and Turgeon accepted, paving the way for him to replace Billy Gillispie, who Friday bolted after three years at A&M to take over at Kentucky.--

This would suck for Wichita because of the timing. If they lose Turgeon now with all the transition going on, the Shockers are going to be in a rebuilding mode for the next few years.

Come on T, He missed maybe a day of work, we can pretend and act like JL has the 2nd longest tenure, but Dana has more experience as a Valley coach than anyone else currently.
 
Royce Waltman also has more experience in the Valley :lol:

But the facts are well documented, that Dana resigned his position as head coach at Creighton, then inked a contract at Arkansas, before quitting there to return to CU.
All I am saying is that in length of current tenure as a Valley coach, Hinson is tops, with Turgeon right behind, then Jim Les.

While everything you said is true, I still consider Dana Altman the "dean" of MVC coaches.
