Saw some talk about "just" beating out NMSU for Austin. Did some Internet searching, and Reggie Theus is no recruiting slouch. Another nice recruiting victory by JL.

Tornado . . . you made a coment recently about fan sites and recruiting. I cannot find ANY New Mexico State basketball fan site that isn't associated with espn, cbs, etc . . . Aggie interest in hoops seems virtually extinct.

I was hoping to see some perspective from NMSU about losing out to BU, but there isn't any. Isn't that alone reason to come to a school like BU rather than a school like NMSU?

If anyone finds a New Mexico State basketball fan site worth visiting, let me know!
 
Reggie Theus has been all over this kid since Rashad was a high schooler and Reggie was an assistant at Louisville.

also, Rashad's father Ronald Austin, played at Long Beach State for Lute Olson who had been following Rashad.
Ron Austin is referred to as a "Legend" at LBSU.
(even as recently as 2003, Rashad's father, Ron, has been very productive in the Summer California Pro League, playing against Penny Hardaway, Joe Smith, Jannero Pargo, etc...
and he also helped run AAU events.)

PS-- I agree that the NMSU fan sites are not really active.

I posted that we beat out NMSU, that says something... But I meant it in the sense that it was impressive, NMSU has been successful lately.
