Theron Wilson signs LOI...with BU!

Wow! I just saw this on the 6 oclock news, so I thought I better jump on here and see what was going on! It will be sad to see SS leave(if he is) though.

man this is amazing...its gonna feel like christmas eve for a 6 year old every day till the season starts! i made a half joke about a month ago how one of our teams from the red v white scrimmage could be more competitive in teh valley than some of the bottom feeders, now i ask again, does anyone agree?

ps...i'm surprised the mods havent taking the rumor on who is on their way out/not coming, doesnt that stuff normally get booted off the board right away?

WOW, NO WAY I SAW THIS COMING! I hope it doesn't mean we lose DA.

Can't believe DR reported this before anyone on here.

I agree I don't even search for stuff anymore because DC or T are always so far ahead of the game.

Sorry, but I didn't see this coming. My "sources" must have slept in today.

Theron Wilson was on campus this past weekend, but at that time, with just 1 scholarship to fill, I don't think the coaches felt Theron was what Bradley needed the most. But now that all the needs are filled, this move makes more sense if there is an available scholarship. I have heard rumors of SS going to SIUE, but I don't know if it has been finalized.

Here is the previous thread on Theron Wilson--
http://www.bradleyfans.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=6162

Theron is the first player from Seward County at Bradley since Marcus Pollard.
He has some impressive numbers, considering he played in a very tought juco conference--
19.4 points per game
10.7 rebounds a game
2.65 assists per game
2.3 steals per game
46.4% field goal pct.
64.8% on free throws (he was 191 for 307 for the year. He shot 307 free throws in 31 games!- an average of 10 free throws a game!)
23.9% on 3's

Better start working on those ft's if he is gonna get to the line like that. I'd like to see him an 80% ft'er (or better) with that many attempts.

:-o :-o :-o Wow... Just when you think things are set, this happens... again...depth depth and more depth...
What a nice thing to have. :)

I have been reading this site for almost 2 years, but decided I should register as I wanted to post about this. I have info from a very reliable source that SS will be leaving. That is where this schollie is coming from. I have been told that both SJ and SS will be transferring to SIU-E to play for Lennox.

I have actually heard rumbles of this exact thing for 2-3 months, but nothing official has yet been reported on Sam.

I just reviewed several articles from the subscription recruiting services. Theron had been followed and recruited by some pretty high major schools like Illinois, Louisville, UNLV, Maryland, Miami, and Wisconsin--
http://miami.scout.com/2/603628.html (premium article)

But for some mysterious reason, by April, the only offers he held were from Bradley, Illinois State, Northern Colorado, and Mercer.--
http://hovpen.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=2&pr_key=58716

He is originally from Topeka, Kansas--

Theron was an academic qualifier out of high school, but chose to go to Seward County CC to get more playing time.
He pronounces his first name thAIR-on

He was 1st team All Region VI--

Team stats for Seward County CC--

Nice article on Theron. If you are asked for a name and password, use bradleyfan/bradley--

yeah I posted this before I saw the news about DW. Oh well it's all good still for next season...

I just got off work and I am trying to follow this story. Who's gone Dee Williams or SS.Straighten me out I'm totally confused.
Thanks

There hasn't been any official news released about SS.

The only thing official concerns DeAaron Williams. Bradley has released themselves from the scholarship/LOI agreement. He will not be attending Bradley.

DeAaron Williams is officially gone, and there is no word on Sam Singh. Theron Wilson's scholarship is the one intended for DW.

By the way, until some official word comes on Sam Singh, here is the current SCHOLARSHIP GRID.
