Wisconsin Sports network (wishoops.net) is reporting that former Bradley recruit Dwight Buycks has decided to enroll at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa.

Indian Hills ran to a record of 31-0 last season and was ranked as high as #1. They ended the regular season 32-1. They advanced to the National Junior College Tournament where they were 1-2 and were eliminated by Northeastern Junior College of Colorado (Rashad Austin's team). They finished the season 33-3.

Robert Eppinger, another player Bradley recruited out of high school in Rockford, was a freshman reserve at Indian Hills last season.

I seriously doubt he'll ever play at BU, especially now that he will only have 2 seasons to play. What happened to the Prep school plan?

Hmm. Interesting. If he wanted his stock to skyrocket and really wanted to go big time, he would have gone the prep school route IMO. This move tells me that maybe he was farther behind academically than we were lead to believe. I can't see any reason why he'd start wasting NCAA eligibility. I still don't think we'll ever see him in a Brave uniform, but I think our chances are certainly better. I'd say BU and Iowa St have to be the frontrunners (Iowa St has been associated with him ever since he didn't qualify).

I will be mildly surprised if ISU recruits him out of JC since we have six guards already committed or signed for the 2007 and 2008 classes and we are still trying to get one more for 2008. I think he would not be a logical choice to add to some already guard heavy classes. BUT, 2009 is a long way off and a lot can change.

There is a report that Robert Eppinger will leave Indian Hills CC and transfer to Highland CC in Freeport, IL.
(Closer to his home in Rockford)

Highland finished in 13th place in the NJCAA Finals last March, losing to Northeastern Colorado 75-74.

Oddly, Indian Hills lost to Northeastern Colorado in Northeastern's very next game, 91-67, finishing 9th.

Sorry to revive this old thread, but Indian Hills CC has landed another top player. LaRon Dendy, one of the top big men in the country, who was committed to Clemson, has apparently failed to qualify and will be attending Indian Hills CC. He will be teammates there with former Bradley commit Dwight Buycks.
Also attending Indian Hills will be former Bradley recruit Leon Powell. They should have a great team.

Laron Dendy would be a great get for BU, and I hope JL is on the kid...
With the team they're putting together, I'm sure there will be many coaches on all those kids. Hopefully, JL and staff have made a good enough impression on Buycks that it will stick with him (and his new teammates).
