Chico said:MMob, where did anyone say it was Bradley all the time? It's just that we were all hoping Bradley would be is choice and we can't blame the kid for weighing all his options.
Big Mike said:Well all is said and done......Ryan Thorton will fullfill the 3 pt shooting very well IMO  ........remember he is really 6'7 and he can shoot the 3 from as far out as anyone I've seen......so whatever MR decides is fine with me!
Houston, I know that you have said these things a while back and I have to admit that even though I dont follow HS basketball very much, I think that I got caught up in the local kool aide to a certain extent. Roth is a nice kid with a great shot... Best of luck to him wherever he ends up. I agree with you that we are recruiting over him and I think that is fine... The talent level here is on the rise... I think that it is a matter of time befoe JL lands the 4 plus star recruit.houstontxbrave said:I have said this before on here, I have not seen Roth play other then in some quick time videos, but I have an extremely hard time believing that a 6'2 180+ guard is anywhere a must get recruit. If he was from lets say Moline would anyone praise him and mention how important his presence would be to BU... but because he is from Washington he apparently is the second coming. He is obviously talented but to be a must get recruit that seems to be an extreme stretch.
We offered him, he seems to not be overally interested thats fine, we should not remove the offer, but and I would imagine JL and staff are doing this, recruit over him, keep recruiting and I 100% agree with MM bring in someone who wants to be at BU without any question. Oh and it wouldnt be bad to bring that player in who is 6'7 plus.
I went to one BU game last season versus Southern Miss and sat next to Dwight Buycks and Roth sat directly behind Bycks with his family. Buycks and Roth both were on the court before the game. Buycks really was into the game and seemed excited to be in the building. Roth, and maybe he is a layed back person seemed like he would have rather of been anywhere other then at a BU game. If body language could speak his said no thanks, Buycks said this is my place to be.

Chico said:I have to agree that Bradley should keep reruiting players and if one of them decides to committ before MR then so be it. They all have the same opportunity. All the negative posts about MR have started now that he might be interested in St. Louis. They include, he can't guard, he can't shoot if he's being guarded and now, he's only 6'2". Where were those negative post before?
tornado said:lefty....read my post and note that the entire thing was from the perspecting of how he is viewed by the fans of Bradley.
I pointed clearly to his comments about Porter Moser and St. Louis and the perception that he has little or nothing to say about BU.
And he doesn't need to satisfy me or anyone else....he can make whatever choice he wants.
God knows most BU fans have wanted him here at BU for the past 2 years, but if he isn't interested, then I as a BU fan will begin to turn my interest elsewhere, and hope BU signs someone else.
But as a BU fan, I still have the right to want who I want, too.
I guess I have pretty much the same rights as MR has.
He has the right to choose the school he wants, and I have the right to choose who I want to hype and the guys I want to root for, right?
If he comes to BU I will be his #1 fan, if he wants to go elsewhere, then I probably won't follow him that much.

Wherever Matt goes he will be met with tremendous pressure to perform but that pressure will be nothing compared to what would be expected of him in Peoria! Both of my kids were recruited and played D-1 and did it far from home, I know they had a great total college experience and I beleive turned out the better for it! Anyway, wherever Matt goes I wish him the best and hope he gets to enjoy the experience and grows with it, what he does on the court is secondary and is just a means to an end!
Cut him some slack!
