DUB, I certainly recall Williams, one of a dozen or so Drake GREATS who have played at least one season in the NBA or old ABA, and who played in the mid-1960's at Manual.
And for anyone in Peoria who doesn't, just note the next to last paragraph in that story....
Al Williams is the father of another notable Peoria basketball legend, Carla McGhee, who was the superstar on the 1986 Peoria Manual HS team that won the Class AA State Title.
McGhee is also an Olympic Gold Medal winner, a two-time NCAA National Champion (at Tennessee) and WNBA veteran.
