Anyone else make their reservations yet for the tour. in St.Louis and what kind of deals are out there? I got a reservation at the Hampton at Union Station for $149 a night which sounds high until you figure that you don"t have to pay for parking as it is in walking distance.

Is the hotel parking free? If not then that is way to high, few pay to park at the arena most everyone will us the metro to move about the city.

Last year we parked a ways down towards busch stadium and walked up, it really wasn't that far and was less than $10 for parking.

I was just in STL last weekend and stayed at the Drury Plaza Hotel on a Saturday night for $113 total! The room was for two adults and we reserved the rooms online using STLZOO as a promotional code. That basically pays for the $15 parking fee. It was a very nice hotel with free soda and popcorn served almost all day and three drinks between 5:30 and 7:00 along with snacks. I highly recommend this place.

For the record, I just now looked at the availability at the Drury Plaza Hotel for that weekend and was able to get a great rate by again using STLZOO as the promotional code.

Standard non-smoking room, 2 adults, 1 king bed for $90.99/night plus taxes and fees. Total should come to about $120/night total, which includes the $15/night parking fee. This was an arrival date of March 7 and departing March 9.

Again, this is a very nice hotel in a great downtown location. I was very pleased with my stay last weekend and the price is right!

I was thinking about pulling my camper into East St Louis and parking somewhere along any 'ole street.

:-o

Real fan - I booked my room at the Hampton Inn Union Station even earlier than you. I ended up getting a $129 per night rate.... To me, it is the best location, right by Union Station so easy walking to the games. Plus - free breakfast isn't a bad option either....

md cowboy, have you stayed at that hampton before and is it a 3 to 4 star? I have stayed at the Drury plaza which is very nice but you have to get your car out as it is too far to walk.

Real fan - It is a Hampton which technically is like 2 1/2 stars I think. Not many thrills, but always is clean and they have a parking garage you can park at for free if you are staying at the hotel. I've always had luck with Hampton's, to me they are very comparable to a Courtyard by Marriott. Very comfortable.

Hey shaunguth. My crew usually stays at this hotel. It is pretty nice. A few years ago, it was the ISU hotel. (team stayed there, but they moved to the Hilton I think.)

Like you said, it's pretty reasonable, and they have a nice free breakfast buffet. (in addition to the happy hour they have daily).

Their parking rate stinks, but it is pretty unavoidable.

It's a pretty good walk to the arena, but only a few blocks to TGIFridays for the shuttle.

It's really close to the Landing too!!!

This year the majority of the people that stayed there were Shocker fans, but after that there was a good mix of ISU, UNI, Creighton, etc.

I only ask for it to be clean as with Calico"s and the hill we have plenty of good places to eat; a quick breakfast is good enough for me.

Use priceline or hotwire. Ive gotten 4 star hotels downtown STL for 60-80. Don't pay for parking for a St. Louis hotel. You don't have to park that far away. Don't stay at Union Station either-that hotel is overpriced and needs to be remodeled.

It's a lot cheaper the closer you stay to the suburbs (other than Clayton).

No more Emabssy Suites because of that monstorous casino on the landing... Idk if it will actually be ready by then.

Just made my hotel reservations for the tourney, also staying at the Drury Plaza St Louis Arch. Free breakfast and right downtown sounds great to me. Can???‚¬?„?t wait for Bradley Basketball and the Tournament this will be my first year down in St. Louis for the Tourney so lets hope it???‚¬?„?s a GREAT ONE!!

Do you have any other info on this? I hadn't heard of a new casino coming to the Landing.

That's good advice MR. There are 2 types of gamblers: Losers and Liars.

There is a huge Casino being built in the landing area. It's just North of the MLK bridge for those of you that know the area well. I'm not sure how they're going to avoid the riverboat thing though as the casino is at the top of the landing area in what would be the Northwest corner of the Landing. It's actually only about 2 blocks from the Dome. I think it might be replacing the President's casino.
