Kyle Kuric is a fine SG, Class of 2008, that BU has been recruiting.

A new report and interview says this about Kuric:

"Elite Schools Looking Kuric's Way"

" Kyle Kuric from Evansville Reitz Memorial certainly drew some interest....
...... in Las Vegas at the Adidas Super 64 tournament.

"A lot of the bigger schools are starting to take notice," said Thompson after his team's tourney run was over. "Yesterday we had Duke, North Carolina and Louisville all at the game watching us.

Kuric is known for his deadly outside shot and when you couple that with his 6-foot-5 height and above average athleticism (35-37 inch vertical), it shouldn't be too surprising that high majors would take a long look at the senior-to-be.

"I saw Coach (Kelvin) Sampson yesterday, saw Coach (Jeff) Meyer from Indiana also yesterday and Coach K (Mike Krzyzewski) was there as well," said Kuric.

As a junior at Reitz Memorial, Kuric averaged 23.2 points per game ...He was an efficient shooter, knocking down 61.6% from the field including 46.8% shooting from beyond the arc. He also hit 84.0% from the line.

The top prospect wasn't ready to tip his hat on his current leanings."

Marty Simmons may have his first DoonnyBrook here.

The more I hear about this kid, the more I like. I've never seen him play, but from the description he is also a very good jumper, fairly tall, a excellent shooter he may be able to get off his shot easier than Roth even if he may be slightly less on the accuracy.
I still would love to have Roth because I can picture the crowd when he nails a 30 ft 3 pointer to take the lead. But if it doesn't work out with him I would not be very disappointed to get this kid. Maybe even along with Roth if we had available room. I would take Iman Shumpert over either though.

Looks like KK could blow-up before the Braves can land him? :-o

This seems to be a recurring theme of the recent BU recruits. Then again, we really don't want to be greedy as long as we can get one or two of them.

how many 30 footers does MR shoot in games?....7 feet past the NBA line.....I"ll have to see that to believe those kind of shots are going up consistently

He will shoot 5 or 6 30 footers a night

I saw him in a game take a couple within a possession or two of each other - both (pretty much) unguarded. As the game progressed and was getting past biting thumb-nails and onto pinky-nails... I don't think he was even getting such an (easy) open look at even catching a pass at 30 ft from the basket.

A report on Indiana/Rivals says that Indiana is waiting on Matt Roth to decide then if he doesn't come to IU, Kelvin Sampson will go after Kyle Kuric.
Right now the big schools like Duke and Louisville have been after Kuric, but require him to either redshirt and/or walk on for one year. The best full offers he has are still mid-major/MVC offers like Bradley.
