If WE have "virtually no chance" of qualifying someone, then he had better not end up at a Louisville or Tennessee next year. Unless Bradley has a completely different academic standard than the NCAA, I'm not sure how this logic really makes sense.
I'm all for good, well-rounded guys to become part of the program. But I also find it VERY strange that he'd be gone so early with this much time to bring up his grades. When someone has THAT much talent, how can you just give up so soon?
I'm sure the staff has their reasons and I trust their decisions. But now McCain better be REALLY good ...
Something smells awful fishy about this....My guess is there is alot more to this story than what is being said. I hope this is not a case of the "big boys" coming in late and stealing committed recruits away. I can't believe BU would cut the ties with this kid this early unless something else has happened. I would almost bet money that we see Mr. West on a D1 roster next year!
Could there be more to this.. essentially someone told him you can do better then BU and BU told him fine we are going another direction if you are not commited and to be civil we are saying its the academics? I just dont see how you invest time and energy into a high end recruit get him to verbal then essentially divorce over him possibly not qualifying.
As I have said in other posts, a big wing that can shoot I think is imperative.
...McClain isnt qualified so to move on...
Done!Wow......this all seems a little strange........now it makes sense why there any news on DW over the summer.......I wish it could have worked out!
It must really be hard to be on the staff......do everything right....get the commit and still have kids not make it.........
PS.........someone tell Shaun it's time to up-grade the scholarship grid again!
