So for the first time and with great pride I officially became a "booster" and sent in my meager check to join the Club ("Friends Level"). I did this months ago. Aren't I supposed to get some stuff from them? I want to make sure they got my payment so I can stop sneaking into the pregame parties and walk in with my head held high. I also think I'm supposed to be getting stuff over email from them.

The website lists no phone or email to get in touch with anyone there. Does anyone know how I can check to make sure I've actually been inducted into this hallowed organization? I want my lapel pin and decal!!!!

I am not sure what you get at that level. But we have received everything we were supposed to. If you check the staff directory under sports there is a Chiefs Club secretary that you should be able to call or email. I have done this in the past and they usually get back to you promptly.

Call Jackie Diemer at 677-2667.

She will resolve any issues regarding your Chief's Club (Braves Club) membership..I promise!!

And you're right...I didn't find the directory on my own....thanks!

My first year too, Vroman fan... Also "friend" level. I got a bumper sticker, letter, lapel pin, and a membership card thingy, and I just got it two days ago. So it's possible that we're just not quite there.

Also, does anyone know where I can find a list regarding who participates in discounts on the brave club card? I understand some restaurants and stuff may offer a discount if I show em the card.

I think you also get a bowl of soup or a clip on tie, but not both.

Cool, I'll be checking my mailbox today with much anticipation...

Actual info...U should have your stuff. Call Braves Club Secretary Jackie Diemer 677-2667. I just spoke with her a couple days ago. There aren't any restaurant discounts unless ur gold. I was also informed you may have to wait for your card because they are having them printed somewhere else. She sent me a temporary card.

Uh, whatever. Anyway, anyone who cares to offer any actual information out there?

Sorry. I was just having some fun... Man, don't sound like such a snob and take yourself so seriously!!! I do have some actual information for you... You are a ********************! I will refrain from any more feeble attempts at humor if it makes life more meaningful for you because apparently you need that. Oh, and to you and your feeble monetary donation in order to get some stupid trinkets... Uh, whatever!

I asked a reasonable question regarding Braves club benefits, especially considering the letter that they sent along with my "stupid trinkets" mentioned something about them.

You implied mockingly with your response that you thought I should not look to receive such benefits. I couldn't tell from the "feeble attempt at humor" if you thought I should give more to have the right to ask related questions-- which would make you the snob... Or if you just resent the fact that the Braves Club exists or that some choose to contribute to the unversity in this way, in which case, I have no idea how to respond.

Anyway, I won't resort to the same namecalling you did, because that's the kind of thing that turns these message boards bad (and Bradleyfans is one of the very best). I did not get your joke obviously, but if you actually knew me at all, you'd know that I don't take myself too seriously. On the other hand, I won't let someone anonymously kick me around because they think they can get away with it, and that's what I took your little joke as. Anyway, I'm done with it, if you are. I just come here to gather information and discuss the Braves. If you'd like to insult me, I'd invite you to do it directly to me in person, otherwise let's talk about the Braves.

Fish7, if you are like me you join the Chiefs club to help the program. When I joined years ago I wasn't expecting anything and what I received was a bonus. I don't think you were acting snobbish, you asked a question and got a so-called funny remark and not an answer to your question. Also, what we give is our business.

Thanks, Chico. I got season tickets and joined the braves club to help the program, and also donated directly to the university for similar reasons.

What I did not like was the "uh, whatever..." To me that is a smart*** answer. Anytime you say "Uh, whatever..." to someone that implies that you above that other person and whatever that person said was stupid, below you, etc... It is something a teenager with an attitude would say. If you did not like my little fun comment, you did not have to reply at all, but instead you DID reply with a smart*** answer. That is how I see it and that is why I responded the way I did. Maybe your generation does not see what you said as an insult, but mine does.

You go Fish. If more people supported the program like you do The Program will continue to improve. Don't pay DRU no mind. I think he's just P.O.'ed that they changed the name from Chiefs Club:)
