Bradley vs. Iowa- Friday 11/23 6:30 PM

Dec 8th, 1997.

Famous quote by WEEK tv announce in closing moments (something like....) "Well, you know Michigan isn't gonna be any good this year...."

They then went on to beat #1 Duke in their very next game and later I think they won the B10 Conf Trny that year.

And people wonder why Bradley fans didn't like the WEEK announcer (who is an ISU alum).

One would also think that after announcing for a couple of years or so, there would be some kind of improvement with the WEEK announcer. He started out brutally bad and ended up...well he ended up about the same.
Really looking forward to seeing the new broadcasts when the coverage is expanded.

I believe Michigan got third the year that BU beat them in Carver Arena (I have nothing to back this up). It was Georgia Tech that went on to win the ACC after BU beat them on the west coast in the 1995-96 season.

Michigan finished 4th in the 97-98 season.

Michigan went on to win the B10 Conf TOURNEY. (later forfeited by the NCAA)

And yes, Georgia Tech won the ACC (outright) in 95-96 when BU beat them. That year, the ACC was the best rated RPI Conference.

Bradley has opened as a 3 point FAVORITE against the Hawkeyes tomorrow night.

In related news, ISU is a 9 point underdog to the Hoosiers in Chicago.

Where did you find this info? I just want to relay it to someone.

Right now, the Las Vegas Sport Club is the only Vegas site posting a line: -2 1/2 points--
http://www.vegasinsider.com/college-basketball/odds/las-vegas/

scroll down to #589 in these lists--

A couple Offshore sites list Bradley at -3 points, and the over/under at 110.

By the way, Bradley is a 500-1 longshot to win the NCAA Championship, but they are one of just 80 teams given odds. There are only 3 MVC teams, BU, SIU, and WSU.--

I don't think the over/under is 110 DC. I'm guessing the -110 is the odds to bet on either game (for the gambling novice - most games with a spread are listed -110 odds, which means you would need to bet $110 to win $100, with the $10 being the 'vig', or the percentage that the casino keeps). I would be shocked if 110 was really the o/u. If it is, pound the over!

BTW - Happy Thanksgiving!

Bradley will cover if it stays at 2.5-3. I am interested to see their total once its up. Did anyone notice that the O/U for the SIU game yesterday was 143!! If I would have seen that some of my student loans would have been paid off.

On another note, does anyone know if BWW carries CSTV? I am in the Chicago area and have to see this so I can give it to my buddy that goes to Iowa.

All BWW should carry CSTV. It's channel 610 on DirecTV, and BWW has the all-inclusive sports package. If you go there and tell them what channel (610), they should be able to find at least 1 TV to accommodate you.

Trying to find some construction paper and a marker.....look for a Bradleyfans.com sign or something BU related. We'll be the ones in RED.

BTW I didn't think Iowa would play someone with a hostile and offensive nickname.

We ARE the BRAVES....go BU.
