I am watching the Indiana - Georgia Tech game right now and it makes me sick. These annoucers are praising Stemler about his hustle and high basketball IQ!! Give me a break. This guy is a bum and would not be starting for Bradley this yet and yet he starts for a top 15 team in the nation...... BAD!!!

Didnt he get booed by Indiana fan earlier this season??/ Wouldnt surprise me
 
I'm not sure if we're watching the same game, but Lance has 12 points, is playing good defense, and attacking the glass for rebounds. Honestly people need to get off the kids back a bit.

Yes. He is looking better than usual tonight. Against the right team he's gonna have these types of games. Watching him play shows me just how similar he is to J. Crouch..........I like Crouch better though :)
 
this was the best game of his life tonight..... he still is way to slow and got burned on D all night.... congrats to hitting 3 open 3 point shots to Lance i look forward to you getting booed in your next game at home

yeah...your right this bum is starting for the number 15 team in the nation from a high profile conference and couldn't play for BU.....give me a break...did he steal your gf or something. I'm happy for Lance things worked out very well for him..
 
I don"t understand why anyone would ridicule Stemler as things did not work out for him at Bradley so he did Bradley and himself a favor by leaving ; I dislike Indiana pretty much because of the cheating but that is not his fault or Roth"s so I think we need to show a little class as I"am very happy with the players we have and the ones that will be joining us in the future.

Maybe because of some things he did to BU after he left...
 
HMonster, what did Lance S do wrong? He didn't see much a future at Bradley so he transferred. Players do that every year at practically every school. At least he didn't leave here the way Granger did and he is praised on this board.

Agreed, it worked out for him and for BU. He's gone, there really is no need to breakdown every performance of his like he is part of our starting 5. He had a good game tonight, good for him, his next one may be just as good, or it may not, who cares. Either way it's crappy that he got booed and I hope that is something that BU fans would be above doing.

It's incredible the hatred for Lance on this site. I was watching him score 15 and pull down 4 boards in 32 minutes of action in my Stemler #22 jersey last night rooting for him all the way. Give him a break he's a great kid and if you don't think he could play for Bradley you probably live in Normal, IL.
 
J Money...all I see is people expressing their opinions on Lance, I see no hatred.
This is what a message board is all about. There are no posts wishing him harm or calling the guy names, only
opinions that he is more suited to the mid-major level of play than the Big Ten.

People definitely have a vendetta against Lance. I have never seen people bash a kid every game he plays for a different team in a different conference. He has yet to play a game this year that wasn't picked apart on this site. He no longer plays for Bradley--people should get over it.
 
Every player who has ever played for then left Bradley has been the topic of numerous posts on this site,
certainly NOT just Lance Stemler.
Have you not seen all the posts about guys like Tony Bennett, Will, Zach, Cellus, etc...
But also the guys who left before graduating like Mike Rembert, Joey Paul, Danny Granger, Mike Suggs, Saihou Jassey, Ray Brown, Jeremy Fears, even Montana Heirman!!!

these links show numerous threads about Lance Stemler that really do nothing but wish him well, speedy recovery from illness, and update on his progress.
I see no hate or even negativity.
 
Indeed, Lance had a surprisingly good game last night, but his second half outburst was mainly due to the fact that GT defenders left him wide open, figuring he would not pose a huge threat, and the defensive focus was on Eric Gordon. It is also true he got booed earlier this year.
 
I have nothing against Stemler, he did nothing to me at all. I guess it jsut bothers me that annoucers along with many other have no idea that he started at Bradley and couldnt make it here. I also think its insane that he starts for a top 15 team in the nation because he is not good and I not kidding when I say he could not start for Bradley and would see limited time on the floor. I don't know why people think that is a crazy statement
 
Tornado, I have to agree with Money on this one. If calling someone a bum, as the original thread did, isn't bashing him I don't know what is. Of all the players you named, Lance is the only one I can remember being bashed.
