Illini to the Rose Bowl!?

What a great day this could be. With WV's loss earlier today, sportsline.com already predicts Ohio State will play in the national title game with the rose bowl going to the Illini. UI's chances are even better with Missouri's impending loss to Oklahoma on the horizon.

It did go pretty well for the illini, of the 4 teams ranked directly ahead of them in the BCS, tennesee (14th) lost, boston college (11th) lost, and hawaii (12th) is currently getting spanked. That is probably enough to get illinois up to at least 12th in the BCS. Too bad Arizona couldnt have pulled it out against AZ St, AZ St (13th) just took it 20-17.

The rose bowl would be nice, because if they go to the capital one bowl, Tebow scares me.

It only took Hawaii a couple minutes to come back and score again, so it's now 28-14. Looks like this game is far from over.
 
I wonder if all this wild and wacky BCS season will call for a playoff structure soon? It's obvious the BCS "formula" isn't calculating right with numerous #1's-5 being knocked off.

I agree, USC looks pretty tough and its a home game for them...
 
It's sweet for them that they are going, but USC is playing as good as anyone in the country right now, and giving Pete Carroll a month to prepare for any team is almost unfare. USC is gonna roll 'em.

Could you imagine where we'd be if we managed to beat the Hawks? I think the Illini'll give 'em a good game. They did beat Ohio State on the road you know. And Rashard is one of the top backs in the country.
 
USC has so much speed that the Illini's are going to look like they are standing still. Could be a close 1st half but USC's bench is really going to wear the Illini's starters down so mid way 3rd quarter it will be a romp.

USC's 2nd string could be a top 25 team. Let's hope the fans have some fun in sunny So. Cal.
