Ruff's injury

I know Ruf was not 100% for the game vs Wright St and I was just wondering if anyone knew how he got the injury. I am assuming in practice some how.

How long does it appear it will be before he is 100%???. Is he going to practice at all before Butler? I can't imagine he would do any contact scrimmages but maybe some conditioning?

We need our leader to be 100% before we play perhaps our defining game this year

Butler is still ranked 18th in the AP polls I think. If we win, that's huge, especially on the road. So, it is another chance at a "defining" game.

This is our 3rd chance at getting a "signature win" to boost us up the pole on selection sunday. We need to take advantage of it....our next chance may not be until the 'ship down in the STL.

I think the VCU game will be our biggest non-conf game.

I forgot about that one...depending on how VCU's season continues, I could agree with that. Right now, Butler is ranked...and they have a great reputation. On top of that, we are playing them on the road at a VERY hard place to play. This game is BIG, no doubt about it.

VCU no where near what Vandy, MSU, and Butler were/are for us. Once chance left.

In complete agreement. I'd say SIU could have been that next game and it depends who we match up against in the BB. The only sure bet right now is Butler.

I guess a sweet sixteen team that returns most everyone from last year is just another game.
NO just not as great resume builder as Butler. VCU would be a good win but not a great win. We play Butler on the road and VCU at home. Little good the VCU game did us last year  With our loss to UIC we need a big win to even that one out.

Unfortunately, that VCU game was before VCU beat the Eastern Seaboard's favorite "Dookies." in the NCAA's

It is only because of that NCAA win that some outsiders and talking heads might consider VCU to be more "sexy" than the traditionally, and currently more solid Butler.

Here's a thought...lets just kick BOTH of their butts then we won't have to worry about choosing which is a bettter win...:)

VCU would be much 'sexier' if former Dookie Jeff Capel was still there. ESPN would be all over them all season if he was.
