Peorian Shaun Livingston was a Bradley recruit while at Peoria Central when he rose to become the top rated basketball recruit in the class of 2004 nationally. He still listed Bradley (out of respect for Coach Chuck Buescher) along with Duke and Illinois in his list of final choices before finally committing to Duke. He never played college basketball, since at that time high schoolers could enter the NBA Draft directly out of high school (LeBron James had done it the year before). He was drafted 4th overall by the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2004 NBA Draft and went on to a great NBA career, even though he missed more than a year due to one of the most severe on-court injuries in NBA history. His story is also called "one of the greatest comeback stories of all-time".
