Burch hits the portal- transfers to ISU

My attempt at a level headed set of thoughts about all the drama. For those not subscribed, here you go!

You do such a great job. Your blogs are as well done as any I've seen, with references cited, links to previous articles, videos embedded, etc. I enjoy every one of them. I know it must take you a lot of time, for as limited numbers of views as you might get, but I hope you continue your work as much as you can.
I encourage every Bradley fan to check them out and become a subscriber. It doesn't cost anything to subscribe, but it will get you an email whenever a new article gets posted, which helps me find them.

One other comment- is there a way for fans to support your work using Google Pay, Venmo, or Paypal?

I’ve been told Illinois State’s NIL revenue has skyrocketed with the recent success of their football program.
I find it hard to believe that money is getting to the basketball program. If that were true, then why are they going after super low-budget transfers? They just landed a disgruntled bench player from Bradley and a D3 transfer. Even their players who stay, they trumpet how they are staying out of loyalty, and not because of NIL payment.

Also, times are tough and finances are tough for some. I can't commit to $10 per month, but would be willing to pledge a certain amt for the year that would be within my means. Is that an option?
Definitely worth supporting your quality work with superior insight and research!

Matthew Zobrist is currently on a campus visit to SIU.
Zobrist was spotted by SIU fans having dinner with the SIU coaching staff
(note- their board does contain a lot of grumbling about their coach and the players coming & going)

btw-- the SIU fan board has finally, after a couple decades, undergone a decent facelift and now functions
better than the old board that nobody went to so it died...In fact, it actua;;y seems to run better than half the other MVC boards

I hadn't had a chance to publicly acknowledge how much this meant to me. I know you, among others, are great supporters and it really makes my passion project just that much more rewarding.

I'm working on some really cool stuff for the incoming guys. It's going to take a little time, but I think you'll like the pages I'm working on.

I also have been working on setting up a proverbial "tip jar". I'm not asking for anyone's money, but I want to give anyone a chance to do that if they wish. I'll be sending a post out about that most likely tomorrow. (And thank you so much for this, too.)

------------

I have one big ask and this is to anyone out here on the board.

One thing that I'd love to do more of is actually tell the stories of the people around the program. This could be players, coaches, the radio guys, etc. I have so many ideas around potential people to talk to for stories but I've had a lot of difficulty getting traction on actually connecting with people for stories. If anyone has a way of either A. passing my site along directly to people involved with BU or B. establishing a direct connection to anyone on my behalf, I'd be eternally grateful. You can DM me on the board or email me ([email protected]). Thank you to everyone from DC on down.

I just finished reading your column posted today-

Great info and well summarized with plenty of details.

Nice - I'll do my best to help! Your articles help to satiate my hunger for BU basketball in the offseason!
And as DC and others have mentioned, it's high-quality work on your part.
