And people really want to bench him? Sam has scored less than 13 how many times? Agreed he lacks in mobility and therefore suffers in a man to man, but it's not for lack of effort. One thing is concerning, though I expect this to improve...

Also, 3 assists in 40 minutes its not acceptable for a point guard-- not to mention the assists/turnovers issue you've already pointed out. All that being said, Sam had a nice game last night, and I hope he can keep it going.
 
All we have to do, according to these numbers, is play these 5 guys for the entire game and BU should average over 74 pts/game. There, the offensive woes of this team is solved.:lol:

Looking at this, its hard not to want to insert Taylor Brown into the starting lineup...


Do we really think we could go at teams w/ such a small lineup though?


I think that undoubtedly we would have to go to playing mainly a 2-3 zone if we did go to that lineup...

Nice idea...and to be honest I don't really want to see DC on the floor anymore because I'm just tired of the confused and non-aggressive play..but like I said in another post...let's get used to it now because DC will be our starting center for MSU...maybe not the whole season though.

Honestly..I'm not throwing in the towel for this season but my expectations have been severely lowered now, and I think that putting AT in would be the best thing for this team. That may come off as just put him in because this season is over type of thing...but you never know what he'll be by the end of the year

I agree and at this point, it makes no sense to keep shoving DC out there...he means nothing to our production now and certainly nothing towards next season....AT better get some time, or he may not be in Peoria next season.

Haha, I love looking at the per 40 numbers and then listen to people try to justify benching a player like Sam M for McCain or Norris... Last Five Games, Sam M Per 40 is better than anyone younger than him in points and assists (where he is #1). He is 2nd to Norris in steals and leads the team in assist to turnover ratio. I love when Sam M or Sam S have a good game it is expected, but a bad game and they should be benched, don't look at the total of their work, just bench 'em... Jeez
