Anyone staying in Tulsa?

Just wanted to let any overnighters know if they still need rooms in Tulsa that you might try priceline. I got the Crowne Plaza in downtown Tulsa 3 miles from Reynolds Center for $48. Just bid on 3 stars and downtown area.

Thanks bu16....just a question. I got to the part where I bid but don't know how much to put in. SHould I try 48$ like you got? Thanks

The best part of that hotel is its proximity to watering holes. I highly recommend McNellies. It's right down the street and they have an incredible beer selection. There a few other restaurants and watering holes in that vicinity too.

Thanks for the suggestion....OB and I plan on arriving in Tulsa around 3pm.

What about a good place to grab a bite before the game. I'm guessing we will just do the burger thing (not Mcdonalds type thank you). Is this McNellies ok for that also.

I'll have to try this "beer" thing you are talking about to...sounds good.

McNellie's does have some pretty good food.

Another option: Across the street and owned by the same guy is a good mexican restaurant called El Guapo's. If the weather's nice there's a rooftop patio on the third floor with a great view of downtown.

Both McNellie's and El Guapo's are at First and Elgin.

OK thanks...sounds great.

You know what I love about this thread?

A Braves fan in Tulsa and a Saluki fan are helping out a Braves fan in Peoria.

How I bid it

How I bid it

I started out bidding $35 at 2.5 stars in a different area, then went up to 40, 42, 45, and 48 before the bid was accepted. One plus is that I was bidding at 2.5 stars and got a 3 star instead.

If any of you who are staying here this weekend are interested, we may possibly have up to 4 extra tickets available for the Tulsa Talons AF2 football game Saturday evening. Our friends who sit next to us just let us know they can't make it and asked if we wanted their tickets. Very good seats. My wife is going to check with a friend of hers to see if she wants them, but if not, any BU fan here will be welcome to join us.
