Arch madness

I can"t recall if I heard it on the MVC network but I heard that Wichita St. , SIU, Creighton and Bradley were the 4 teams that had sold the most tickets and there was not much of a difference in the 4 ; they also said that the 2 top teams in the conference had not sold as many tickets as expected and all the lower seats were gone, can anyone confirm this?

Look for an announcement about all-session tickets around Feb 1. The numbers I have seen here look correct. SIU was leading the way for most tickets sold for the pre-sale.

That being said, keep in mind this: 2,200 lower-bowl tickets or so are dedicated to corporate sponsors. The lower bowl at Scottrade holds approximately 11,500. Around 7,200 all-session tickets were sold in the pre-sale to the schools themselves.

Does not suprise me! These are the teams that consistantly get support from their fan base regardless. It would be nice to see the rest of the Valley schools support their teams like us but let's face it, BU has something special within Peoria that is hard to replicate. I am suprised that Drake, especially how well they are doing this year, does not recieve the same attention from their community as we do.

Confirmed. Mitch Holquist (sic?) said this on the Creighton vs. SIU broadcast.

Bradley - 1000 (500)
Creighton - 1559 (1442)
Drake - 290 (100)
Evansville - 275 (191)
Illinois State - 604 (216)
Indiana State - 150 (106)
Missouri State - 505 (677)
Northern Iowa - 650 (399)
Southern Illinois - 1734 (1579)
Wichita State - 1125 (2574*)
TOTALS -- 7892 (7,784)
Last year's FINAL TOTALS ()
* for record most tickets by MVC school

(Drake has requested 500 more tickets and expects to sell them). Eight of our 10 have
increased the number of tickets they sold this year from last (only Missouri
State and Wichita State have currently sold less than a year ago).

I wish they could figure out how to cut back the corporate seats in half as most of the people that use those seats do not care that much about the teams that are playing and come late and leave early ; they should figure out a way to get more of them in the private boxes.

Updated:
Bradley 1000
Creighton 1575
Drake 450
Evansville 275
Illinois State 644
Indiana State 150
Missouri State 509
UNI 650
Southern Illinois 1634 *
Wichita State 1125
TOTAL 8012

These are through last Wednesday
* Not totally sure about this #. On the last report they had 1734. Kind of hard to believe they lost 1000 tickets. I have a feeling the first number was incorrect.

I think Bradley ordered 1000 tickets and may still have some left out of that no. to sell.

What's funny.... Bradley was sorta protective of their tickets. Recall, some fans wanted to buy some.... but they had to be Season Ticket Holders or Alumni to get tickets.

Wonder how many we turned away. Wonder how many bought elsewhere. Wonder how many decided against buying any because they couldn't get the discounted package in the BU section.

When you see round numbers, that might very well be that the school hasn't sold their allotment of requested tickets. I am fairly certain that is the case with Indiana State and Evansville. Might also be the case with UNI and BU as well.

Does anyone know when we will be able to pick up all session passes for the tournament? I believe the lady said sometime in February but I can??™t remember what she said. Just excited 22 days till Arch Madness and counting.

The nice lady in the ticket office said we'll get a press release in the mail when they're ready for pick-up. I think she mentioned mid/end of February.

My experience is, about a week before the tournament, at the earliest.
