You are right. I have corrected my initial post. Thanks for correcting me. I looked in the wrong place!

I do believe ALL road games from here on out are available on TV with the exception of the final game at Creighton - which is an asterik because it might get picked up as an MVC WildCard coverage for the game.

After having that feeling that we're going to lose horribly for a handful of games it feels good knowing that we're going to win by a lot for this one.

Here is a report that Evansville's Shy Ely sprained his ankle at the end of their game last week, and is hampered a bit, playing in an ankle brace.

In additional news at Creighton, their P'Allen Stinnett, who had started 5 games in a row, was replaced in their starting lineup by little used Pierce Hibma (3.1 ppg) in the game at Drake and, according to their latest press release, also for their game against Wichita State.
Stinnett has led the team in scoring 7 times (more than anyone else on their team), averages 11ppg,
and is 3-time MVC Newcomer of the Week!
It is also possible Creighton might just be shaking things up a bit as they are now in the midst of a 3-game losing streak for the first time since Feb., 2004.

There was a missed dunk by P'Allen Stinnett against Drake-- he was on a break-away, running down the court and had an easy basket, tried to dunk it, but the ball didn't go in - instead it got jammed between the rim and the backboard for a turnover. Drake won by 10, so maybe it wouldn't have made enough difference.

Here is a pic....with P'Allen on the floor at the baseline and the ball jammed between the rim and backboard.

This pic from the Des Moines Register shows Jonathan Cox retreiving the ball from its stuck position as the fans jeer P'Allen.

I guess P'Allen's flamboyant style of play is already getting him some heckling, as in this thread by the Drake fans.

We better enjoy this softie of a game as the rest of the schedule looks brutal. I would be pleased to go 500 the rest of the way and at least get to the champ game in the tourney.

If you know the history of Bradley basketball, with the exception of the 1985-86 team, there has never been a year when a road game was a gimme.
I expect UE to play hard, and they will remember the game at Carver that they lead for much of the game, and nearly won.

Evansville has always been a house of horrors for BU.

JL is 2-3 at Evansville and the two wins were

Last year by 1

2 years ago by 3 in Overtime.

Before that we had lost
93-79
84-69
76-66

Even back to MO and some of his good teams we struggled there. Of course we have the same track record at WSU and controled that game last week. Hopefully we can make it 3 straight at Evansville, but this is not going to be a gimme or anything close to easy.

This is a pivotal game and I believe a must win for BU as the games only get tougher; it is important to stop Holsinger as they do not score many points unless he has a big night; we need to be very physical inside and rebound as they have less experienced inside players ; I think if we can score 72 points we would be in good shape. Is anybody going to Evansville as I thought about it till we got all this snow.

Ahh heck, everyone thought the WSU game was going to be close and I said it would be an easy 15 pointer even without Wilson. I'll go on record with an easy 10 point win for this one LOL. If we lose to a team with an RPI over 230, even on the road, it virtually kills all momentum we have gained over the last few weeks.

Jason,

I wont speak for anyone else but I have seen enough Bradley basketball to know that no road win is a certainty, ever.

But I love the confidence, and you were right about WSU, even if it was only a 9 point win ;)

Just a reminder that Bradley has not won three consecutive MVC road games in 10 years... 1997-1998.... I'm not saying that we can't / won't win but it seems it is never easy to go on the road and bring home a "W". I also agree that this game is an important win (aren't they all?) because BU doesn't have any "gimmies" left on the schedule.

GO BRAVES!!
