Bradley offers Jared Brownridge- 2013

thanks for that report KMart

I think Brownridge, Allen, or Taphorn seem like players that would be at the top of the level ...
I fully agree but I think our chances of landing Taphorn may have taken a hit when we "lost" Jeremy Crouch - as you know the Taphorns and Crouch's are related
(Jeremy's mother-in-law is a Taphorn)

"Jared Brownridge (Illinois Wolves 17s) ??“ Brownridge decided to ball out
today. He came out on fire making three straight long distance triples and
continued that play throughout the game. He finished the game with a game
high 24 points including 6 triples. He??™s capable of moving into his shot from
deep range and hitting pull-ups. If the defense collapses on him, he??™s capable
of finding his teammates for easy scores."

now everyone on the east coast knows about him!!

ex-recruit Jared Brownridge is having a great freshman year at Santa Clara...

He's one of the leagues top scorers and best 3-point shooters - converting almost 3 per game at a 44% clip.

Anyone recall another Illinois kid - a local player who starred at Santa Clara?

Peoria Central's Rhea Taylor averaged 19 ppg for Santa Clara in his 1991 All-WCC senior season.

Former Bradley recruit Jared Brownridge scored 44 last night as Santa Clara took Arizona into overtime and lost by two, 75-73

Warning:
rehash of old thread...

Bradley was recruiting Jared Brownridge back in 2011 as a member of the Illinois Wolves (same program that Sam Maniscalco played for and that Carl Maniscalco coached - and still does coach for)

Brownridge went to Santa Clara ..
he became a 4-year starter, prolific scorer and all-around player, scored over 2,300 points, hit over 40% of his 3-pointers, and every area of the game.

WE HAVE TO RE-ESTABLISH those old recruiting connections with the midwest AAU programs....we cannot afford to let the Alec Peters & Jared Brownridge's get away.

I agree. JG tried to wipeout all the old Bradley connections. It just about killed the school

IMO, Geno and his staff aligned themselves too closely with what turned out to be the wrong AAU program for us. Programs that do so, usually do not get many recruits from the many other successful AAU programs like the Illinois Wolves, who produce more D1 prospects that any other program in Illinois, or even the local guys, the Illinois Irish, who Alec Peters played for.
