Bradley volleyball coach resigns

Sooner or later the person not seeing eye to eye with the coaches either needs to go or stay away from the athletics and let the coaches be. I still can not believe the Bo Ryan situation. He was the one of the only coaches up there to be there for 20+ years, had the most success out of alot of the coaches. Sooner or later I think who ever that person is will be let go... If you want success you just can't be changing coaches every 3 years. Every new coach will have different theories and it takes a while for athletes to change... Just my thoughts

Sean is a great guy. I believe he could have made Bradley into one of the better MVC programs with more time. Nobody could have done much with the previous poor facilities he has had to work with over his time at Bradley, and the lack of a suitable home court until this season.

Good luck Sean!

And good luck to the next Bradley coach, whoever she is!

If the coach's teams still stunk record-wise but were academic rock-stars year after year, he'd still have a job. The minor sports help with the overall GPA of BU's student-athletes, it doesn't matter how well they do on the field/court, but if they make honor roll and graduate on time then it's more boasting that the administration can do.

D-III mentality at its finest.

Wasn't this coach reasonably successful wherever he came from? Could it be that a lack of suitable facilities and other "administrative issues" prevented him from being successful at BU? Will the purge ever end???

Right on point. Bo Ryan "resigns"................Yeah right:evil::evil:

I don't know if they were "rock stars" in the classroom or not concerning GPA. I do know the program was VERY sucessful graduating their players year after year. For the latest APR rankings they received a grade of 1000 (out of 1000) and their multiyear APR grade was 994. That means probably 1 player has not graduated yet out of all possible over the past 4 years. Most of these graduates would be from the previous coach unless some transfers came in during Sean's 3 years.
