I just heard from someone close to the BU staff that head coach Geno Ford has offered a scholarship to Donte Thomas of Thornwood High School in South Holland, Illinois. He is an extremely athletic 6-6 wing forward. He plays for Meanstreets AAU team.

According to Chicagohoops twitter feed, Donte Thomas will make an unofficial visit to BU August 10. Will visit Oregon State and Eastern Michigan in September
 
I heard that Donte Thomas did not have school today, so he came down to Peoria last PM. He was hanging with Mike Shaw and some of the other players last night, and has been touring the campus and city today with Coach Ford. He will go back home tomorrow.

Someone asked him last night, and he said "hopefully playoffs." So he sounds optimistic that only a few more weeks.

Although an hour before he said "Can't wait till I start rehab." Not sure how much rehab is needed for that injury.
