My takeaways from the box score -

1. We continue to win the rebounding battle. Good.
2. We continue to shoot more FT's than our opponent. Good.
3. We continue to struggle at the foul line. Not good.
4. We continue to struggle from 3. Not good.
5. We don't have many assists. Not good.

Hopefully the emergence of Will Egolf and Darian Norris as offensive players, and the hopeful healthy return of Andrew Warren will help 3, 4, and 5. I never thought offense would be our biggest weakness, but at this point it is. I know it was weak competition, but I feel like with the tweaking we did tonight, and a healthy roster, we can cure our offensive woes.

Just curious... but how do you solve basketball players who are bad shooters? We have a lot of players who play a lot of minutes who can not shoot a basketball. From 1 ft, 15 ft or 21 ft.

We won't play many games against a starting guard that goes 0-7 and 0-4 from 3pt land. I guess I will chalk that one up tonight to defense!

We only fix it if we get healthy. Andrew Warren can shoot the basketball. Sam can shoot. I think Darian Norris can shoot too. He's got very good form, and gets his feet set very well. He reminds me of Will Franklin in that regard, who was also a good shooter. If those 3 guys are the ones predominantly taking the 3's, Dodie and Roberts (who I think are average 3-point shooters at best) won't have to. They can focus on doing what they do, which is slashing and penetrating. I think our shooting percentages could go up in that regard. But that's only the first part.

The second part is going inside, even if it's just to draw the defense. I think Egolf can score a little bit, and will at least make the defense show even a little bit of respect for the ball on the block. That should open up some more opportunities for the guys mentioned above (Warren, Maniscalco, Norris). Again, none of this is really feasibly unless Andrew Warren comes back 100% and back to his old self. If he doesn't, guys are in spots and taking the shots who probably shouldn't be, and we get the results we've seen thus far.

Anywys, just a theory of mine that I think could work. I am sure our coaches are steps ahead of me.

At this point, I would like to swap in Norris and swap out Roberts and bring him in off the bench...the positive there is that Norris deserves the time and Roberts has yet to play a 1st half well and had a bad all-around game tonight, while the negative is that it makes us really small and big guards would be able to shoot over them all night...

Richmond's starters go 6'10"; 6'9"; 6'5"; 6'4"; 6'0" so a better lineup to go to at the start would be:

Singh
Egolf
Wilson
Dunson
Maniscalco

Otherwise we're going to be manhandled inside all afternoon....

This would lead to my point about Wilson at the 4....I can say w/ certainty right now that he will not be able to man up against a 6'9" 230 lb player...

We can play zone, but I still think another bigger body should be out there to start...

Otherwise, Darian Norris has earned the opportunity to be the 1st man off the bench from the guard position and I'd almost consider bringing him in for Sam and rotating Dodie to the point when he comes in...

I also think getting AT some minutes would be good given Richmond's size...
