Here's an article about a tremendous 6-8 SF that Bradley is in on.
Nice to see Bradley in with the big boys....Bradley is in his top choices.

"Wesley Witherspoon
a pure prospect at the high-major level,.... The 6-foot-8 wing from Berkmar High School in Lilburn, Ga.
No. 114 ranked player in the class of 2008...

George Washington head coach Karl Hobbs has seen the Rivals150 player in action this year. So have assistant coaches from Bradley, Kansas State, Florida and Auburn.

Witherspoon said he is holding offers from George Washington, Auburn, James Madison, Bradley and Florida State.
George Washington, Auburn, Florida State, Bradley, Florida, Kansas State and Notre Dame are "a good top seven," he said."

(you will have to tolerate a Jim Nantz ad first)

Thats great!! I would love to see bradley bring in a guy of that quality. A 6-8 wing? That's bigger than our returning 4/5 Matt Salley!! I know were only in his top 7, but in the off chance we grab him I think that would be great for BU, and let us better compete against athletic teams like Mississippi State.

I'm exited to hear we are in on these type of kids. Also Shumpert, and the kid from Conn. But don't we only have one Opening in next years class for Buycks, Roth, Shumpert, Fruendt Etc.

Wow would love to see Wesley and his 6'8" frame at Bradley he would create all sorts of matchup problems.
George Washington, Auburn, Florida State, Bradley, Florida, Kansas State and Notre Dame.

Those are some really talented teams there, lets see Bradley take one away from the supposed BIG DOGS.

As of right now.....yes.

Assuming the scholarship that was pegged for Dwight Buycks this year now goes to Tyrone Cole-Scott, as of now there will be 3 more scholarships available for 2008. 1 would go to Daniel West. 1 might go to Xavier Crawford. And 1 would be available It's possible it could go to Dwight Buycks if he does a 5th year of high school and still commits to BU.

Im not exactly sure of this kids skill level, but I can say confidently that there aren't many places in America that he could play against better competition. The conference that he plays in sends TONS of kids to high major schools. I personally have seen Berkmar High School play many times and they are a basketball powerhouse. Every year they put out a number of D1 talent and almost every team in their conference does the same. If he is this highly rated while playing at that level, then I would love to get him.

Texas Rivals site has a new article about Wesley Witherspoon, one of the top unsigned players in the country.--
http://texas.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=724396

It is a premium article, but it still sounds like Bradley is one of his considerations, despite the fact that he has numerous offers from some of the top programs in the country. Here are a couple clips from the article--
Lilburn, Ga small forward Wesley Witherspoon put together a productive summer that resulted in his recruitment going from mostly regional to national. Programs from coast to coast have extended the 6-foot-8, 185-pound wing scholarships and that includes the Texas Longhorns.
....the question remains if the four-star prospect will travel west and take an official visit to Texas? Witherspoon says he doesn't have any other official visits set up, but Texas has a good chance to receive one.
"I do not have any official visits set up," Witherspoon said. "Me and my mom have to sit down and decide on who I will visit. More than likely, Texas will get a visit. I really like the coaching staff. They were here for an in-home visit and it was cool. Since I went there during the summer, I already feel comfortable there."
The No. 57-ranked prospect in the 2008 class says he is still considering nine schools from which to choose his five official visits and will likely hold off until the spring to sign a letter of intent.
"I'm considering a lot of school still. Maybe nine. Colorado, Texas, Virginia, Clemson, LSU, Memphis, Illinois, George Washington and Bradley. It's going to be a late sign. I just want to make sure my decision is the right decision," Witherspoon said.
Witherspoon currently has offers in hand from the likes of Texas, Virginia, Colorado, LSU, Clemson, George Washington, Bradley, Auburn, Georgetown, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas State, Tennessee, Syracuse, Boston College and Fresno State, among others.

New premium article on Scout again says Wes Witherspoon plans to wait on his decision--
http://scouthoops.scout.com/2/699814.html

The articles says this is a list of his suitors--
LSU, Memphis, Texas, Alabama, Virginia, Tennessee, Clemson, Colorado, Oregon and George Washington.

Note that Bradley is ignored, what a surprise! But I hear Bradley is still on his list.

Have not heard anything mentioned lately so is WW still on the radar for the Braves or has he moved on to the bigger suitors?:o:

The latest is an article dated January 16, 2008 on the Rivals.com recruiting site. It talks about Witherspopon's recruiting and visits he is beginning to plan. It may be a premium article--

http://rivalshoops.rivals.com/content.asp?cid=762473

It doesn't sound good for Bradley--
Liburn (GA) Berkmar High wing Wesley Witherspoon is one of the top unsigned prospects in the 2008 class. The 6-foot-8, 185-pound small forward had put recruiting on the back burner the first month of the high school basketball season, but is now beginning to think about setting up four official visits. With offers from many of the top programs in college basketball, the question becomes which four lucky programs will get a shot at signing the coveted wing.
"I'm considering Memphis, Texas, Virginia, Colorado, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Clemson and Oklahoma," Witherspoon said. "I would say Memphis, Texas and Virginia are recruiting me the hardest"
