Bradley has offered a scholarship to 2013 small forward Martez Walker. He is a 6'5", 170 pounder from Detroit Pershing High School.
He plays with the R.E.A.C.H. Legends AAU squad.
He is being recruited by USC, Xavier, Iowa State, Bradley, Providence, and Virginia. The only offers so far are from Bradley and Iowa State.

None that seem evident- Jalen Crawford attended Detroit Oak Park HS, but left after the 2009-2010 season and spent a year at the Impact Academy in Las Veags before coming to BU in fall of 2011. He played AAU with the Michigan Mustangs.
Anthony Fields attended Detroit Southeastern HS, but left after his sophomore season in 2009. He then spent 2 years at Quality Education Academy in North carolina before attending Wake Forest this past season. He played AAU ball in North Carolina for D-One Sports.
And Martez Walker attends Detroit Pershing HS and plays for the R.E.A.C.H. Legends AAU program. I can't find anywhere they might have crossed paths, though it's possible.

I think this kid would thrive in Geno Ford's system more than the other schools showing interest. I'm not quite sure he is BCS-caliber, but would probably shine at a mid-major like Bradley.

Some clips-
It has been a good spring for Martez Walker, and the three-star wing has added a lot of love on the recruiting trail.

Three-star wing Martez Walker was somewhat under the radar going into the spring, but now the Detroit (Mich.) Pershing product is seeing things pick up on the recruiting trail. The 6-foot-5 small forward is extremely versatile, and high-major programs are taking notice.
Known mostly as a one dimensional scorer coming into the spring, Walker has shown improvement in all facets of his game while playing for the REACH Legends, and it has led to more and more attention.

???I have been getting interest from a lot of schools,??? noted Walker. ???Illinois, Tennessee, USC, Providence, Xavier, Iowa, Iowa State, DePaul, Central Michigan, Oakland, Eastern Michigan, Bradley, and Virginia Tech.???

For now Walker is just taking things step by step. With his length and ability to play multiple positions Walker is just looking for a place where he can come in and make an impact.

???I am just looking for the school where I can picture myself playing the best throughout my career,??? explained Walker.

Currently Walker is viewed as the No. 29 small forward in the country.

A new article about BU recruit Martez Walker from the Minnesota Rivals site-
http://minnesota.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1380122

It might be a premium article- in it Martez Walker talks about all the offers he has gotten. Here are some clips-

"I've been to camps at State, Xavier, UND, and I'm going to Oakland this weekend," explained Walker. "I'm hearing from Tennessee, Iowa, Iowa State, Xavier, Michigan State, DePaul, Providence, Virginia, Bradley, Oakland, Eastern Michigan, and USC. I know there is more but I can't think of all of them."

There are several other schools starting to get involved with Martez including Minnesota. While the Gophers are still in the very early stages with mail and talking to a coach or two they need a wing and Walker could be a guy they follow in July.

"I haven't been talking to Minnesota like that but they have sent a lot of mail," said Walker. "They haven't been calling but they have sent recruiting mail and getting a hold of me like that. In terms of my recruiting I'm just playing and whatever interest comes from schools comes to me."

Walker's recruiting is wide open right now and the teams that have offered include Bradley, Iowa, Iowa State, Providence, Eastern Michigan, USC, and more.

Martez Walker, a 2013 recruit, has finally made a decision. He commits to Texas.

Former Bradley recruit Martez Walker is in trouble at Texas. The sophomore was suspended by Head Coach Rick Barnes immediately after being charged with Class A misdemeanor assault with injury by University of Texas campus police.

"Pending resolution, Martez has been suspended indefinitely from our basketball program and will not participate in any team functions,” Barnes added in the statement.
