Clips-

???I have a lot [of offers],??? Sewell said. ???It??™s quite a few. Hopefully by the end of this year more of the big time schools and top 25 schools will start looking at me more.???
His offer count is up to nine ??“ Akron, Middle Tennessee, Ohio, Miami (Ohio), Wright State, Western Kentucky, Bradley, Marshall and VCU. The 6-foot-5 guard also has interest from Butler and Miami (Fla.)
With the offers rolling in this summer and fall, Sewell opted to take a few unofficial visits. He traveled to Butler, Miami (Ohio), Dayton and Marshall, while also playing pick up ball at Louisville.
???I??™m waiting to see how my high school season goes,??? he said about making a commitment. ???I??™m probably going to commit around February or March or towards the end of my season. It all depends on how my junior year goes. This is a big year for me.??? Although a decision isn??™t in the near future, Sewell said Marshall, Butler, Western Kentucky and Akron are the schools showing him the most interest at this point.

It looks like that is a premium article.

Here are a couple clips of relevance-

Josh Sewell, 6-5, 205 pound 2G/SF, is one of the top juniors in Kentucky. This season for Louisville Trinity High School, Sewell is averaging approximately 18 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists per game.

Josh Sewell, 6-5, 205 pound 2G/SF, is one of the top juniors in Kentucky. This season for Louisville Trinity High School, Sewell is averaging approximately 18 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists per game.
Sewell is looking for Trinity to do some damage this season. At 11-1 overall, Trinity just finished 5th in the Lexington Catholic holiday tournament. Sewell said, ???We are young, inexperienced, and play only two seniors. Our goal is to win the (Kentucky) 7th region and then state.???
Josh Sewell describes his style of play as ???in and out??? and excels with his mid-range game. Sewell said, ???I like to shoot over guards.??? Sewell says he is more of a shooting guard than a small forward and has a scorer??™s mentality. He also plays point guard for Trinity. He has been starting as a guard since his freshman year.
He likens his style of play to two former Big Ten stars, Alando Tucker (formerly of Wisconsin and the Phoenix Suns and now in the NBA D-League) and Eric Gordon (formerly of Indiana and now with the Los Angeles Clippers ).
Sewell is now beginning to seriously look at colleges. He currently has a 3.0 GPA. He has not taken an entrance test since he was a freshman.
The schools that are recruiting Sewell include Miami(OH), Ohio, Wright State, Butler, Virginia Commonwealth, Akron, Miami(FL), Middle Tennessee State, Dayton, Stanford, Penn State, Bradley, Marshall, and Western Kentucky. He has offers from all of those schools except Butler, Dayton, Stanford, and Penn State.
Sewell does not have a particular leader, but said Akron is recruiting him the hardest at this point.
Sewell has already unofficially visited Akron, Miami(OH), Ohio, Dayton, Kentucky, and Xavier. However, Kentucky and Xavier are no longer recruiting Sewell.

Yesterday, Josh Sewell committed to Miami of Ohio.

Miami??™s landed a top target in Josh Sewell, a muscular 6??™5,??? 200 pound 2G/SF from Louisville (KY) Trinity High School. Earlier in the week Sewell attended Miami??™s Elite Camp and had a good experience. A few days later, he was ready to make a decision.
In the end, it came down to two schools: Western Kentucky and Miami.

Other schools that recruited Sewell include Ohio, Wright State, Butler, Akron, Miami-FLA, Middle Tennessee State, Dayton, Stanford, Penn State, Bradley, Marshall, Eastern Kentucky, Murray State, and Western Kentucky.
He had firm offers from Miami-OH, WKU, Wright State, Ohio, Akron, Middle Tennessee State, Bradley, Marshall, Eastern Kentucky, VCU, Miami-FL, and Murray State.

Spoke with Josh this morning about his commitment and the decision had a lot to do with being able to go away, but also being close enough to home for his parents to still come see him play. Hence his final two coming down to Miami, OH and Western Kentucky.

Josh will do well at the next level and I wish him the best of luck.

Miami coach Charlie Coles is 67 years old, and has a bad heart. He's had a cardiac arrest and resuscitation in 1998, 2 bypass surgeries, a myomectomy- a procedue to remove a dead part of his heart muscle, a pacemaker, and an implanted defibrillator, which was recently changed and updated. It is said that his health is now good, and I hope he stays healthy.
But there have been rumors that he may only coach for another 1 or 2 years.
Since Sewell won't arrive on campus until fall of 2010, I find it unusual he would commit so early under these circumstances.

Josh will be there regardless of who the coach is. He really enjoyed his time up there and Miami is a good fit for him. He will be able to play right away and compete at a high level.
