Carl Richard - Richards H.S.

I think Richard could be one of the best players at Indiana State in the last 10-15 years. He's a very athletic player with the ability to score near the basket and defend. It looks like he has somewhat limited range, and he'll have to develop his shot. He's not really a guard, and at 6'5", he'll be playing against bigger players in college, but I have heard that a number of higher schools have inquired how solid his commitment is.

Thanks for your input. I understand the game tonite is "live on the internet". If I can stay awake long enough I will try to get a first hand look. As to the question of how strong is his commitment?, he signed the LOI in the fall and we don't plan any coaching change so I would say he is as solid as can be.

GO SYCAMORES!

Saw Richard play in the championship game last night. He shot a pretty good percentage from 3 pt territory, but he shoots flat-footed.....almost like a set shot. Kinda reminded me of...um...me! :)

I think he had 19 pts and helped lead Richards to victory in the 4A state championship game 67-63.

I think he will be a very good player, but I don't see him as being one of the best at InSU in the last 10-15 years.

Darius Smith and Carl Richard were two of the most impressive players that I saw this weekend at the state tour.; both of them play well at both ends of the court, Richard appears to have already hit the weight room and Smith is very athletic and long.
