In the Swish and Dish Tournament over the weekend in Milwaukee, Wisconsin Carlton Fay (Putnam County) was named MVP of the tournament after scoring 22 points in the championship game. He plays for the Illinois Wolves 17-U AAU team.

Sam Maniscalco also plays for the Wolves and scored 18 points in the championship game.

don't get too excited. remember, according to (name deleted), there is no defense in these games.

Plus Maniscalco and Fay (both very good players in my opinion) didn't receive any Mr. Basketball votes. They prob are overrated.

you seem a bit frustrated that you cannot make your argument logically and clearly and now you've begun the childish rants that serve no purpose.

Go say whatever you want on the ISU board, but I can assure you that posts with personal attacks aren't tolerated here.

not attacking you at all personally. Rather i consider you a good fan with good insight. This is what makes me wonder why you'd use Mr Basketball votes as a guage to someone's talent???

I am not attacking you. I am attacking your foolish method for judging the validity of someone's talent based on lack of Mr Basketball voting. i think that's dumb.

I probably am not using any one measure to gauge OE's abilities.
He might be the Frosh of the Year in the Valley, but at this point I just am not convinced, I will wait & see.

not once did I ever claim he'd be Frosh of the Year. Never, not even close.

All I've ever said was that as long as he picks up things defensively, he'd start. I also believe, based on seeing him play, that he'd be the best option at the 2 on the current roster. that's all i ever said

This was mostly a local Milwaukee tourney without any statewide AAU teams, except the Wolves. The competition was not all that tough, but in the wolves' favor is the fact that the team they had in Milwaukee was a 16u team and they were playing up against all opponents who were 17U.

is there any truth to the rumor that fay may be leaning towards siu? isn't the illinois wolves coach, the current siu's point guard and valley's freshman of the year's dad?
