Deshawn Delaney is still on campus, but Chris Blake has completed his visit and is headed home to Texas. He did not give BU any commitment, but wants to talk to his coach and consider his final decision, which will come in the next couple days.
 
what are his other options? I have never seen a single source nor mention that Blake has any D-I offers...
If he turns down Bradley when he has no other offers, that would be insulting..

What would be insulting is the fact we have a kid on campus that has NO other D-I offers.
 
Why do we want this recruit then? My understanding was that he was a quality recruit. NO offers and didn't commit? Just yank the offer and move on, man.
 
My guy told me that Chris Blake is in town and flies out tomorrow morning, which would make sense since he arrived Thursday.

Told me that Blake has offers from Colorado State and UTSA and that he played open gym today with the players.

Almost accurrate...he is leaving town today.
 
Who would have thought just a week ago that we would have Blake and Delaney on campus and neither one of them would verbal. I know Delaney is still there but its not looking to be as done a deal as I thought. If he leaves without a verbal I dont think he will be back! I thought Blake was a slam dunk.

I wish I would have said that. How true. Are we jumping the gun here. Maybe just maybe we have other options and did not push for a commitment. Maybe not but possible. Don't think it's the end of the world if he doesn't sign next week. If we only have 2 scholarships available and we're counting on TH and DD,well you do the math.

The coaching staff really likes Blake and wants him. I think they'll lock him up.

Ideally, he'd be a 4, but I could see Bradley playing 6' 5", 6' 6", 6' 6" a lot next year (along with the PG and SG).

They're still pursuing a 5 too.
