College basketball scandal?

A couple articles about sleazy recruiting and cheating, and guess which school seems to be mentioned....
I wonder how many times Kansas will get caught with their hands in the cookie jar
before there are finally some serious NCAA investigations and some real, plausible and effective penalties??

"Lining up employment for recruits' family members..."
"Paying excessive compensation to high-school coaches of recruits to speak at a university's summer camps."

and other means....stories from Kansas are specifically cited.

Daniel....I guess a few of us here at BradleyFans are a little biased in our feelings towards Kansas and some of their fans.
I know you can't judge by just a few of them, but several Kansas fans came onto our board back when Bradley was about to play them in the NCAA Tournament in 2006.
As you know, Bradley went on to BEAT Kansas then Pitt to reach the Sweet Sixteen.

But before Bradley played Kansas, a few of their fans posted endless rips, insults, and criticisms, as well and a lot of taunting trash talk right here on our board.
They were so sure Kansas would waltz right over Bradley that they were already looking forward to playing Pitt.
Several of us tried to engage in some straightforward conversation with the KU fans but they were so snooty and arrogant it wasn't possible.
Then when BU beat KU, those guys never came back to finish the discussion like real men would have.

So every once in a while we do get a little kick out of posting some stuff on Kansas, and sometimes even linking over on the Illinois boards, since I know they like to get in on the same stuff.

In fact, if you note the disproportionate number of views this thread has gotten, it is because of the hundreds of Illinois fans who came here because of the links and to read the discussion here.

Here is a little bit more about this emerging scandal involving 40 major college athletic programs. The New York Attorney General is investigating whether kickbacks were accepted for steering students to loan providers. The specific lender involved was promoted by the colleges, and had agreements with these colleges to provide loans for students, and in return paid money back to the schools based on how many students obtained loans (basically a kickback). This practice may be illegal in some states, including New York.
