Dallas Mavericks NBA champions!

Nice to see Dallas wipe the floor with Lebron and company on their own home court! I think Lebron is a classless clown who got his comeuppence, and deserveably so. Talk about a long offseason for the Heat. Enjoy your time at the golf course guys! :D

It was a great series. Too bad the Bulls couldn't get by the Heat. I think the Bulls would have stood a better chance against the Mavs.

Did you guys hear about the new LeBron phone. It only vibrates cause it doesnt have any rings!

And today is officially Lebron James Day, everyone gets off work 12min early!

I do not know of anyone who was pulling for The Heat during this series. Did you guys hear Lewhine's news conference? He actually had the nerve to try and put down the folks that do not like The Heat. The guy needs to mature real quick and find a new PR person. His image has taken a real dip, one which I have never seen from a pro-athlete. He is approaching and if not surpassed Barry Bonds. :-o

Agreed! Obviously it's not Lebron and company's talent that bothers me. It's the circus that surrounds him and his classless behavior that has rubbed many people the wrong way.

Love it! Also heard this one:

A guy walks up to Lebron James and asks him for change for a dollar. Lebron says sorry man I only have three quarters.

Woods has probably fallen just as far if not further. Idk if it is even his PR people. The decision was bad, but his comments last night were not scripted. I think he lacks maturity (and intelligence). I too often find it difficult to hear him speak.

I really hope god has better things to do than decide who wins the NBA championship.

Woods has probably fallen just as far if not further. ....

well, I guess it depends on how you score such a thing -- I hardly think falling from #1 in popularity all the way down to #1 is much of a fall at all....
not only does he still draw the biggest crowds, and he's the one guy the networks want more than any other...

but just a couple weeks ago the newest ranking of the WORLD's highest earning athletes came out....
and now a year and a half since his "scandal" - guess who is #1 by a HUGE margin???

May 31, 2011:
"Tiger Woods is still the highest-paid athlete in the world–and it isn’t even a
close call. Woods earned $75 million over the past 12 months, easily
outdistancing second-ranked Kobe Bryant, who made $53 million."

BTW -- if you don't want to read it -- Kobe was #2, LeBron was #3, Federer was #4, Mickelson was #5, Beckham #6, Ronaldo #7, ARod #8, Race driver Michael Schumacher #9, Lional Messi #10, #11-15 were Formula 1 drivers, tennis players, & Tom Brady.
Derek Jeter was #16, Yao #18, Dwight Howard #19, DWade #20.
Ichiro #22, Carmelo #23, and more racers, soccer players, and boxers from 24-30 except Maria Sharapova at #29 is the ONLY woman in the entire TOP 50 proving life is really just not fair unless you are very pretty.
#30-50 include a few of washed up ballers (Vince Carter, Michael Redd, Barry Zito) who were lucky to get huge contracts

Dirk sits at #45 but I kinda suspect he'll be a bit higher on next year's list...

IMG recently dropped Woods' agent. Woods has no new endorsement deals and isn't winning (or even playing). He has a worse Q score than Vick. Woods is still making money, but his image has taken a giant hit. I don't remember one athlete falling from the top in one moment like he did The Tyson comparison may be the most similar.

Back to the topic-

It would have been great to see and hear Charles Barkley during these finals, however, he works for TNT and ABC/ESPN has their own commentators. But Charles has to be smiling since he has ripped the Heat, predicted they would not win the NBA title, and criticized the Heat fans.

Interestingly, the Miami Heat must agree with Charles to some degree, since they sent out a mass email to their season-ticket holders before game 6 instructing them on how to be better fans-

At least with the Heat loss, we will not have to see Charles Barley walking along South Beach in Miami Beach in a speedo.
That was a bet he made with Miami Herald columnist Dan LeBatard-

Barkley has been on the radio a good deal. I haven't heard from him since the Mavs won, but he recently said that he was bothered with LeBron talking about multiple championships before winning one. I believe it was on Jim Rome's show. I can't find the quotes, but he basically said that it's not that easy to win a championship. He (Barkley), Ewing, Malone, Stockton, were are all trying hard to win championships every year and couldn't win one. LeBron act like it's going to be easy to win 7.

Maybe now LeBron realizes how hard it is to win one after going 0-2.

Overall, I thought this NBA season was one of the best I've seen in a long while. Very exciting. The Bulls had something to do with it of course, but one of the most competitive playoffs in a while.

and no one would of made fun of LeBron this bad if he signed with the Bulls; I love fandom.

Probably not around here anyway. But the way he announced his going to Miami on ESPN and the show he, Wade and Bosh put on when they signed to play together turned most fans off.
