We have even found a way to ruin that as we go to a 4-class  structure next year in basketball. IMO, that will make the state tourney less interesting.

Hmmm.... why do you say "slim"...as if we lose them all the time?

...we have "lost" a recruit or two in years gone by, but not generally because we failed to get the signature on the LOI.

Xavier Crawford signed his LOI but ended up at prep school.
Daniel Ruffin signed his LOI but had issues with the clearinghouse.
Anthony Grundy (now we're reaching back a decade) also did sign his LOI but was a no show
even all those guys at the other MVC schools (Dunson, Dentmon, Tabb) all signed but went elsewhere.

The only guy who verballed and required that a scholarship be held, then backed out of signing a LOI that I can think of locally was Charlie Villaneuva.

The other guys that BU might have "lost", guys like Manual Cass, Anthony Slack, OE, etc...never actually verballed to BU.

So I guess it could happen and I guess we could worry, but we've done all we can, and we're in the best spot to be in.

BTW-- Saginaw's superstud recruit Draymond Green was interviewed and asked about
Tubby Smith leaving Kentucky right after he had verballed to Kentucky, and Green said
he was "shocked" by Smith's decision to leave.

"I knew there had been talk about Coach getting fired, but there is that kind of talk every year," Green said. "That's just how the Kentucky coach gets treated."

He did not say whether he would reopen his recruitment, but he has not signed a LOI

Saginaw On Cable TV and Up at the Half

In CA they are on FCSC. Up by 10 at the half. West doing a most of the ball handling for Saginaw. Souther and Green are just too much for the other team (at this time).

Yes--
the game is on webcast right now--

Saginaw is ahead 36-26 over Detroit Redford.

BY THE WAY
Here are the stats at halftime ...
Corperryale Harris on Detroit Redford has 19 points, six rebounds.
Everyone else on the team has 7 points....

On Saginaw, West has not scored, but he has 4 assists, and has done a fine job distributing the ball.

Saginaw's Josh Southern has 8 1st half rebounds.

The game's 2nd half has started, and the score is 38-31.

Saginaw up 41-35

By the way, Saginaw's stud, Draymond Green has now decided he will NOT honor his committment to Kentucky.
He has not signed a LOI as he is still a junior, so now his recruitment is wide open again.

Another thing the broadcasters are talking about, is that Corperryale (Manny) Harris's Detroit Redford high school is set to close after this year because of declining enrollment.
The enrollment has shrunk to 1400, and that's causing the school baord to reworks the districts.

I wonder how the people at Manual feel, they are down to 700!

Saginaw ahead 45-36

ALSO Harris says he is still committed to Michigan.
Harris is quite a stud, too, as he is literally having to do it all himself on his team.

Saginaw HS' coach, Lou Dawkins, played in college at Tulsa for Tubby Smith.

Score now 54-38 Saginaw in control at the end of the 3rd quarter.
