Green Bay is coached by former TV and radio basketball analyst Doug Gottlieb, starting his 2nd season as Green Bay's Head Coach.
Last season in Gottlieb's first season, Green Bay was one of the worst teams in the country. They finished 4-28 overall, and 2-18 in the Horizon League. They finished the season with an NET rank of 338 out of 364 teams. They return only 3 of their top 9 scorers from last year, and Gottlieb has added 10 new players on this year's roster, including some high-scoring D2 and D3 players, as well as a couple juco transfers. Their top returner is 6'6" junior Marcus Hall, who was the second-leading scorer on last year's team (13.9 ppg). No other returning player averaged more than 8 ppg.

Gottlieb has not made a decision on his starters, yet. Their roster includes at least 10 guards, but the only true big men are a couple freshmen European big men recruits, and a 28-year old recruit whose only experience was one season at a Southern California junior college last year (MiraCosta College).
The game will feature the return of Brian Wardle to Green Bay, where he was an assistant coach from 2005-1010, and the head coach from 2010-2015.
There will also be a ceremony to honor former Green Bay star Keifer Sykes by retiring his jersey. Sykes will also be added to Doug Gottlieb's Staff as their first-ever General Manager.

Bradley is coming off a very successful 2024-25 season, finishing 28-9 overall, and 15-5 in the MVC, good for 2nd place in the MVC. The Braves made it to the championship game of the MVC Tournament, but lost to Drake for the third year in a row. The Braves lost 4 starters and their top 4 scorers from last year's team (Deen, Hannah, Montgomery, and Davis). And Coach Wardle has added 9 new players to this year's roster. The new players include 5 freshmen (Zobrist, Richardson, Wheeler, Guimaraes [Redshirt], Seastrunk [Redshirt]), 3 transfers (Huibregtse, Smith, Yu), and one juco transfer (Toussaint).
