Even if we win (70-70 2 mins left) this is still a loss in my book. We blew a 15 point lead. At home.


We wont have a 15 point cushion against ISU in the tournament.
 
Yes, that's true and another reason why we would have gone home for sure Friday night against ISU...6 boards in 2nd half. Sure would have been nice to play Thompson or Milos a few minutes...we were gassed and got away with one. and no buesch, this was not a good game
 
Gotta love all this negativity after a big win against a team ahead of us in the standings. :rolleyes: Congrats Braves on a big, big win heading into St. Lou. :) :)

And boo, boo, boo to the select few fans who always look for something to bring everybody down. :( :(

I'll go ahead and take any win against the #2 Valley team, although we could really learn how to make this easier on ourselves.

This is kind of a stupid statement in my opinion. No one would have complained had we played close the whole game and won by 2. We made plays when we needed to, and we won. No matter what or how it happened, we WON against a very good basketball team. No one would have said I think we still won no matter the outcome if we came back against UNI only to blow it at the end.

Great job on getting the win Braves!!!
 
Also, we're starting to win a couple of these one-possession games.

I feel like this team is good enough to win thrice on a neutral in late-game pressure situations now.
 
These games are irritating as all h-ll. I'll take the win, and glad we could send our seniors out with a win at home. Unfortunately though, beating the top 2 teams in the league is just a further indictment of the failure that this season is.

That is true BB. But it ain't over yet. A lot can be forgiven if we can win 3 more in a row. :)
 
So people can sit here and say this conference is awful because Evansville has beaten UNI and WSU and there has been so much parity but when push comes to shove we pat ourselves on the back because we ESCAPED with a win AT HOME against the #2 team in our conference...so it's all good right? Because they are #2? What happened to this being a crappy conference? What happened to WSU hasn't been playing well lately? Excuses once again. This team was ripe for the picking and we had them right where we wanted them and we let them off the hook and almost lost this game. Don't sit there and type your garbage and calling people out for being upset about this win when you know perfectly well at this stage in the season this is inexcusable. We don't call you out for being so positive about being hyped up over a team doing nothing so leave the people who are upset alone. I heard the stuff people were saying coming out of the arena and the majority were upset or else they were to the point where I was hearing things such as "what did you expect, it's happened all season". Ridiculous.
