They have 3 Division I players in their lineup, and a couple more getting D1 looks. Bradley has had recruiting contact with some of their players.

Nike has gotten involved and helped promote last night's 4th game against Seven Lakes HS as their "Hoops Madness" game. See 2nd section-

Yates only scored 88 points in beating Seven Lakes HS 88-76 last night.

Seven Lakes can take pride in knowing they are the first team to hold Yates under 142 points.:D

More poor sportsmanship-

Houston Yates High School is still undefeated, and their scoring average was down to 115 points per game. But last night they played a weak team from Lee High School, and they hoped to break the Texas high school scoring record of 166 points.
In fact, in interviews before the game, their players bragged that they thought they could score 200 points in this game.
They lead 100-12 at halftime, and came out in the second half and continued to play their starters, press the Lee team on every posession, and run fast breaks, and take shots in the first 5 seconds of every posession. They did manage to break the scoring record with a 170-35 final score.

Unfortunately, a fight broke out in the 3rd quarter, as a Lee player got frustrated and intentionally fouled one of the Yates players to prevent a basket. After the fight was broken up, the officials considered stopping the game, and the Lee coach threatened to forfeit. But they agreed to continue playing. However, the officials required that both teams finish the game with only 5 players, and made all the rest of the players leave the bench.
Here is an article with some video of the game and the fight-

By the way, Houston Yates HS is the high school that BU coach Alvin Brooks III attended!
