Indiana "Fares Poorly" on Academics

Maybe Eric Gordon doesn't care, as he isn't too concerned about graduating, but
Indiana was the worst among all D-I schools in Indiana and was 277th overall in the NCAA Academic Progress Rate (APR) Scores.
Kelvin doesn't have to go far to improve!

Looks like Kelvin is picking up where he left off at Oklahoma! The powers-that-be at Indiana can't be too happy, as they do care about their schools academic reputation (relatively speaking). I don't think they were ever that low during the Knight years, and they produced Big 10 titles and national championships. I don't see either anytime soon for Sampscum.

The NCAA's recent release of academic progress reports
does highlight certain schools and programs that have done excepionally well, and
FOUR programs from Bradley have been specifically cited!

Men's Golf
Men's Soccer
Women's Tennis
Women's Volleyball

were all cited as receiving "Public Recognition Awards 2006-07"

Creighton had several programs, ISU had one program (Women's Tennis), MSU one program, UE two programs, UNI three, SIU two programs. So only one school in the Valley had more programs recognized than BU did.

Here's more to add to your list of people to really feel sad for...

The poor NCAA D-I program that seems to get the least respect is pleasant Bo Ryan and his cuddly Badgers.
Seems nobody ever gives 'em credit for being so good.

(note their road record the last 4 years is 19-23,
In the Bo Ryan it's 31-36,
AND OVER THE PAST Decade it's 51-65,
and over the past 25 years it's 90-202...
so pretty consistently they only seem to have the ability to win at home,
but they play mostly home games as much as they can get away with!)
--- so are they really as good of a team as this writer seems to suggest,
or are the facts obscured by them playing less than 1/3 of their games away?

(ps- poor SIU is #2)
