Isiah Thomas and the Knicks

He is now a paid consultant for the Knicks while still hold the head coaching job at FIU.

This has to be a joke, if Im FIU I tell him to either be the head coach or a consultant but not both. Says he will consult in his spare time... when exactly does a college head basketball coach have enough spare time to consult with an NBA team?

Let alone this just smells of conflict of interest, I guess it is within NCAA guildlines but just doesnt seem right.

I think it shows how weak the FIU Athletic Director and Pres are. No way most D1 admins allow their coach to do this.

I get a laugh out of Coach K's remarks, as he's sold his services to the highest bidder for years -- be it car companies, bank ads, American Express endorsements, and even flirted with taking an NBA job several times, using it as leverage to get a boost and extension at Duke.
