Jeremy Fears Question??

lightsout

Im sure this question has been asked before but does Fears have one or two years ahead of him playing for the Braves. He is listed as a Junior on the roster, just wondering looking forward to seeing him play well in a Bradley uniform.

Fears was a sophomore last year, and is now a junior at BU, but since he only used his freshman and sophomore years of eligibility, he has two full years of eligibility years left at Bradley.

I fpeople thought Boogie was a great athlete and a good basketball player, then they will also be impressed by Jeremy Fears.
He is an incredible athlete and several people who have seen him in workouts and practices have said the same thing, that he will be impressive.

At Ohio as a sophomore, Jeremy Fear was 7th on the team in minutes played, but was 3rd in scoring, tops (by far) in assists, and 2nd in steals, scoring nearly 10ppg, 4.2 assists per game.

Forget his sophomore year - which was decent. When I saw their game at NIU that year, he didn't seem the same and clearly wasn't the same player he had been earlier.

His Freshman year at Ohio, he started as the point guard on a team that went to the NCAA Tourney and played Florida tough in the 1st round.

I believe in the MAC final that year, he scored over 30 points as well as they won in OT vs. Buffalo in a great championship game.

Bottom line- this guy likely will be a great player for BU. His length, ballhandling, and athleticism will be a big help. Plus he's been practicing all year so he can get used to the style of play. He'll be a real asset.

Wasnt there a writer at ESPN that called Jeremy possibly the best Sophomore coming back after his Freshman year in the entire country? Katz maybe???? I think someone had posted it on here when he showed up at BU.

Looking at next year, do you think Fears steps into Will's spot or does he "play big" and take JJ's spot?

I think he steps into Wil's spot. D Williams steps into JJ's - maybe?

Fears isn't as good of a shooter as Will unfortunately. However, he is a better athlete. He will surely start alongside Ruffin and Crouch. The 4th 'guard' spot will be the one that's up for grabs IMO. Brown, Williams, Warren, and perhaps even Salley will make strong pushes for that spot.

I LOVE HAVING FEARS AND WILLIAMS FOR 2 YEARS AT BU, BUT I THINK WE ARE GONNA NEED SOME MAJOR IMPACT FROM OUR BIGS TO BE SUCCESSFUL. OUR CURRENT TEAM MAKES UP FOR LACK OF HEIGHT AND REBOUNDING BY AMAZING 3 POINT SHOOTING, AND GREAT BALLHANDLING FROM 4 OF 5 POSITIONS ON THE FLOOR WHEN CROUCH IS HEALTHY. LOSING WILL AND DA AND JJ WILL HURT THAT ASPECT OF OUR GAME, AND CHANGE OUR TEAM "STYLE" A LITTLE BIT. HOPE THOMPSON AND EGOLF WILL BE READY.

Fears and D. Williams will help out our rebounding a lot; Franklin"s shooting will be missed and we still need a center .

Prediction

I predict that next year's group of 6'4"-6'7" athletic studs will go down in BU history as the most exciting team ever! If not based on next year's play then 2008-09!

I see a team reminiscent of Tark' Running Rebels (except our guys can read and write and should stay off the police blotters  )

I really look forward to watching JF's play........have heard he is one of the better players in practice.......could be another big season ahead!
