Since there has been a McDonald's All American team, I do not recall that any MVC team has ever had a recruit on that list.

I think you are correct. Although, I think Danny Granger was an honorable mention candidate for the McD's AA team if I recall correctly.
 
The powers that pick these McD AA's always favor the eastern talent....so they have so many kids from the east, that they have to take kids like Brandon Jennings from Oak Hill in Virginia and place them on the West squad, just because the kid used to live in California and is going to Arizona, and they have drawn the dividing line between East and West right down between Indiana and Illinois (maybe along the Eastern/Central Time Zone line).
And the two kids from Ohio are on separate squads.
