Mvc Nit

I think it would be outstanding if the NIT Championship Game match-up was Southern Illinios vs. Illinois State. That would be great exposure for the MVC in the face of a rather humbling One bid to the NCAA. Also would be cool to have two Illinois schools in the Championship considering not a single D-1 team from Illinois went to "the Dance".

Definatlely would be cool to have the MVC monopolize Madison Square Gardens. I have buried the hatchet of any ill will I may have held towards our MVC bretheren durring the regular season.

GO VALLEY.

I agree. Once post season gets here, I expand my Bradley love to the entire MVC. I live within easy driving distance of MSG. If a valley team is in the championship game, I'll be there to cheer them on!:p

SIU and Creighton are BOTH alreadyu in the NIT Sweet Sixteen.
Unfortunately if they both win their next games, they will then face each other in the NIT Elite Eight, thus making it impossible to have 3 of the NIT Final Four.
I would love to see an NIT Final Four of either SIU/Creighton, plus ISU, Akron, and VCU!

I like the MVC chances to go all the way. I will be interrested to see what ISU team shows up to play tonight.

Southern didn't miss a beat and really surpirsed me with the convincing win over OSU and all of that with out Mullins.

Creighton looked terrible, but never underestimate the fire within this team. Creighton can put together a cluster of scoring bursts just win you think you have 'em on the ropes. Then you look up time has expired and they sneak one out on you. Amazing. So much for all the Hype of the A-10 (R.I. did look tough though)
