only one week in but I would definitely have to give this week's Player of the Week Award to Drake's Richard Carter for his 38 point scoring performance in carrying Drake to a road win at UIC.
Walt Lemon is the only player in the Top 10 in scoring who has played more than a single game..plus a few of the week's top performances were against D-II teams so I wouldn't even count those.
Dawon Cummings of Indiana State had a really nice game in helping the Sycamores to a win over BSU, and both Marcus Marshall & Jarmar Gulley had 18-pt games in their win over ODU.
 
If Richard Carter is not the MVC Player of the Week, then they would lose all credibility. He scored 38 points against a mid-major D1 opponent and won the game for Drake almost single-handedly, while some of the others were playing D2's and low D1's.
