Game 2 - WSU over MoSt

Friday:
Game 3 - UNI over Drake
Game 4 - Bradley over SIU
Game 5 - Creighton over WSU
Game 6 - Evansville over ISU

Saturday:
Game 7 - Bradley over UNI
Game 8 - Creighton over Evansville

Sunday:
Championship - Creighton over Bradley

Yeah, yeah I know it's blasphemous not to pick Bradley to win, but it's what I think will happen. I'd love for BU to prove me wrong and win the whole thing!

Bradley won't even make it to St. Louis and will be forced to forfeit against SIU.

(Just trying to balance out the temptation of fate here...)
 
I don't want to make any predictions. This league is too crazy this year. I know what I think 'should' happen, but there's no way that anything is going to go as expected. I just know that this season has been one of overcoming obstacles and doing things we haven't done before. We've overcome some great obstacles with injuries, and have played defense like we haven't played it before in this regime. For a majority of this regime, we've been a failure in St. Louis. It's time to overcome that. I'm not saying we have to win the thing, but we have to make more than a cameo appearance Friday afternoon.

I had exactly the same as you when I did my bracket. Do great minds think alike??? Two years ago I picked every NCAA winner for the first 2 rounds... Really, I did. I was in first place in several pools. Then everything fell apart after that and I only got 2 of the final 4. Whoops.

I'm with Scouter on this one :D

ISU vs CU - If ISU can control their turnovers and exploit the pick and role with their bigs the'll win it. If they start jacking up 3s all over the place and throw the ball away with CU's extended D they'll get killed.

Friday:
Game 3 - (1) UNI over (9) Indiana State
Game 4 - (4) Bradley over (5) Southern Illinois
Game 5 - (2) Creighton over (7) Wichita State
Game 6 - (3) ISU over (6) Evansville

Saturday:
Game 7 - (1) UNI over (4) Bradley
Game 8 - (2) Creighton over (3) ISU

Not saying Drake won't/can't make the finals, but I believe only one team that played a play-in game won a quarterfinal game in the tournament. Anyone, anyone?

That is correct sir. Only once in MVC tournament history has a play-in game participant advanced past the quarterfinals. That was in 1998, when #7 Bradley beat #10 Drake in the play-in round then topped #2 Creighton in the quarter-finals before losing to #3 Missouri State in the semi-finals.

It's also interesting to note that the #6 seed has only advanced out of the quarter-finals twice. In 1989 when SIU made it to the finals and in 2006 when UNI made the semi-finals
 
I understand it's rare, but to be honest I think Drake's hardest game would be UNI in that scenario. I think they can handle InSt. pretty well if they get down to business...then the real test would be UNI. If UNI doesn't play so hot like they have been lately, they are a very beatable team. If Drake beats them I think Drake matches up very well (for them) against us. We had a hard time beating them here on senior night....they may not be a very good team but their positives are magnified against us and can easily beat us. If we play a good 3pt shooting team...we will lose unless that team is off.

I'm going to be honest I hope we don't play Drake...I'm more afraid of them then UNI. We know how to beat UNI and if this time around they don't make 5 desperation 3's in a row we will win...and the good news is that lately they haven't.
