For a couple years I have been hearing Creighton and Wichita fans say that NDSU was going to be in the Valley soon. I always thought they were way off. I knew nobody would want to travel to Fargo in the winter. Also they weren't even a division one program yet. I couldn't think of a team further from acceptable. I thought St. Louis, Butler, or even Western Kentucky would be better candidates.

After seeing the seedings, I was impressed with the fans that were on hand for the announcement. I went to the web site and looked up their Arena. It said at one time it seated 8,000 but now only 6,000. That is not a MVC level Arena. However this was their first Div. 1 year. If they grow the progarm, and improve the Arena who knows. They have a dome for football that seats 18,000. I really have no idea if they are good in other sports. I'm sure that would be a deciding factor. I know Dave Snell loves Frostbite Falls. He really would love Fargo in January. Just a school to keep an eye on if the Valley ever expands.

Sorry NDS is already an established D1 program...
