After a lengthy search, Northern Iowa named Iowa State Associate AD David Harris as their new AD-

I think it's a great pick.......after a 3-month search, they go with a longtime Midwest guy (Wisconsin & Iowa) -- a guy from Iowa State - a school that has done well with their hires recently...
They didn't bring in someone with no connections whatsoever to their geography or their conference

New UNI AD David Harris (doesn't officially start his job until March 28 ) talks about a new bill introduced in the legislature in Iowa to require University of Iowa & Iowa State University to...share the revenue they get with UNI!

"Finances are critical for us," Harris said....
.... a bill recently introduced in the Iowa Senate that called for Iowa and Iowa State to share athletic funds with UNI...."

Indiana State becomes the 2nd MVC in the last 4 days to name a new Athletic Director. They announce Sherard Clinkscales today as their new AD. He was formerly the senior associate athletics director for student services and sport administration at North Carolina State.-

He is a graduate of Purdue, but he went to high school at the same high school as former Bradley player Andrew Warren- Brebeuf Jesuit HS in Indianapolis. He turned down D1 basketball scholarship offers to accept a baseball scholarship to Purdue where he was an outstanding pitcher. He also played on the Purdue basketball team under Gene Keady as a walk-on. He was drafted and spent several years in the Kansas City Royals system, before retiring due to injuries and becoming a scout for the Royals. He eventually moved into college coaching, and then into administration.
